No hoppers at monorail resort?

We are staying at the Poly and have no plans to get them. I just don't think we are big on it enough to shell out the 300+ for it. I think it has to do with shifting gears. I don't mind changing park days but once I am in a park my mind is set by the surroundings and even when we take a break we come back.

I always read comments like is upgrading from a value to moderate for $300 more worth it? Yet many asking this have the hopper because they just think they have to or it is important to them. For me the resort is more important than a hopper but that just comes down to preference. Some find having sit downs more important than anything so that is where they put their money. As some have mentioned they have the attitude I am already paying so much what is a few hundred more? Some have to have it all..dining, hoppers, resort, and water parks. I will say it has been many years since we did a trip like that. It was fun! Just not something we have to do every time.

OP - You really answered your own question when you said you had them before and was very close to EPCOT and did not use them. Unless you have changed or have a firm plan to park hop then no, I would not recommend you get them. I can tell you that we have been AP holders for years now and rarely do we park hop. I totally disagree with a PP that since you already spent a lot of money, whats another $250

My vote is for the park hoppers. Park hoppers have an enhanced value when staying at an MK or Epcot resort. The monorail makes it easy to hop. Take advantage of one park in the afternoon. Then, go to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations. Or, hop to MK for drinks and dessert at BOG then Wishes. It will add to your magic.

We don't do hoppers right now--2 kids who need some rest (or maybe it's really mom who needs the rest) and a dad who would want to hop on over to MK every night. Best that we don't have that option! But before kids, we wouldn't have even considered going without hoppers. And as soon as the kids are a little older, we'll probably go back. I do miss being able to do whatever each day, but then go to MK for fireworks or a few more rides at night.

We love the hoppers and always add them. But if you can go without and add them later if you feel like you need them.
