No Holiday Wishes 12/30

I got the exact same email ... but they switched me to the 11:00pm-12:00am Journey of the Little Mermaid!

Also, still no phone call yet. However, I did make a phone call myself, and spoke to a CM who mentioned a "call campaign" about this (I think she meant CM's were calling guests whose FP's were cancelled), and she'd try to have them call me tomorrow...

Just checked on the Disney site and Holiday Wishes is NOT scheduled for the 30th or 31st...

I forgot to mention in my previous email - when I called, I was told by the CM that they're still having the fireworks each night (she didn't elaborate on which fireworks show), but they've eliminated the FastPass location for the fireworks. She didn't elaborate on why...

I just want a clear answer from somebody. I've got my fastpasses squared away, but I still have a dessert party reservation for the 31st.

They have $250 of my money for that. Surely if there are no fireworks they would cancel the dessert party, right?

During disneyparks blog holiday paracde podcast they announced that the NYE fireworks would be live online. I wonder if this ties into that. they are getting a lot better at their live events and the last couple have been more than just the event they are showing.

Question? Where would I find them live online? Someone said they were watching the candlelight processional and I couldn't find it. Thanks

Yep. I just checked 2 days ago when I saw this thread and Holiday Wishes was on the WDW calendar for 12/20 at 6:30pm as it has been since he holiday schedule came out. It's gone now. We planned for this to be our time in the park to see it and adjusted dinner to it when the holiday schedule came out. I guess back to the drawing board to get us in MK another evening and the fun of trying to change FP+ selections a little over a week out. Got to love these last second adjustments. The planning/adjusting never ends. No matter how experiences you are, Disney can always throw some curve at you.

The official blog.. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/ Generally they post the day before or afternoon of that there will be a live webcast with a time listed. They will post a new blog at that time and the youtube live video will be in it. When it's over all the blog articles and the video disappear.

Just off the phone with dining. Was escalated to a supervisor who had no idea of any of this. Told me to keep checking and to check at guest services the day of for an updated schedule.

No thank you. I'm not going to spend $50 a person if there are no fireworks. I'm pretty sure it's in the reservation that cancelled fireworks don't matter, but they are going to have a bunch of angry people.

Just looked at the disney calendar on the disney homepage and it shows Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at 1150pm on the 30th and 31st. The Holiday Wishes is no longer listed.

Just out of curiosity - anyone who attended on these dates, did they shoot both shows or only Fantasy in the Sky?

Yes, they did also do Holiday Wishes that night, but no fast pass viewing.

They did both, but Holiday Wishes had the New Years countdown and finale tacked on the end of it after a pause. It was a bit confusing for some...after the Holiday Wishes finale, everyone turned to leave, and then the countdown started.

We were in MK on 12/30.

Holiday Wishes was at 6:30PM and Fantasy in the Sky with the new years countdown was at 11:50pm

Just to clarify, my comment above was for 12/31. They did the countdown twice that night.
