I think personally my favorite is going to be Beach Club. Even though MK is my favorite park, I think we could get a lot of enjoyment out of the proximity to HS and Epcot. And my girls humor me now, but I know in a few years they may be far too cool to ride Snow White and the Teacups. LOL! I love beach theming, and the SAB pool looks like so much fun. Although I confess we've never used a resort pool since we have one at home and were always trying to use every moment possible doing the parks. But part of this plan is to relax a bit more.

We are a family of 4 and for the most part see us only using a studio or 1 BR. We kick around the idea that we would like extended family to join us in a villa, but those times will be few and far between beause our family drives us both nuts. LOL! And that is too much $ to spend miserable.

Now, from what I am gathering the BCV do not have the 12 capacity villas? I am wondering if this should influence our choice of home resort? Is it harder to find a GV 7 months out (no particular resort) than a studio/1br @ BCV?

And if I really like BCV would it be foolish to use SSR or OKW as our home resort for the cheaper price/incentives if BCV really is hard to get reservations?

BCV is harder to get right now.

it and VWL don't have GV - at the time they were build, the ones at OKW and BWV would be empty too much of the time. since they have limited space issue - DVC decided it would be better to only do studios, 1 bedrooms and 2-bedrooms.

they went back to GV when they build SSR - akv has them and BLT is surpose too.

expecting in a few years BLT to be the hardest to get. while I like illiuinations LOVE WISHES!

besides with the monrail BLT will have easy access to both MK and Epcot.

the main pool at BLT is surpose to be Mickey Mouse's head - it will between the building - on the side facing CR there is another pool.

Given what you just wrote, I wouldn't worry at all about GV's. If you do a big family trip, it sounds like you are better off just getting multiple rooms.

We are DVC owner's at BWV. This past Christmas, we had a GV, room #3037, at BWV for the whole family. My wife had always wanted to have our entire family, (our 3 kids, their wives and kids) go to Disney at Christmas time. There were 10 of us staying in it and we never ran out of room. It was really great!! One reason we chose to buy at BWV were the GV's.

Agreed, the lack of a grand villa at BCV will be the perfect excuse to get two two bedrooms or a two bedroom and a studio for those family trips.

I've said this before, but while I love my brother in law dearly, sharing a room with him on vacation would result in me tying an anchor to him and dropping him to the bottom of Bay Lake.
