No golden spoon for me

So I was looking over the Golden Spoon stuff. I guess I may never make it, always end up at the Biergarten when in EPCOT. Can I count it more than once? :D

Anyone else have a favorite WDW resturant they just keep visiting over and over?

For some reason we almost always end up at the Sci Fi, even if our original plan didn't include it. Don't know why that is...I guess it's just a familiar, fun place, because the food, while good, isn't anything spectacular.

We will always book 'Ohana. It's the family favorite. And I can never resist a pre-park Crystal Palace breakfast.

I can't imagine a trip without those two meals! However, if the kids were not with us, we'd probably skip CP. It's a family thing, and I think he and I would be fine missing it if it was just the two of us.

Yep, 'Ohana, 1900PF breakfast and Crystal Palace are our must dos. Even when we hit 'Ohana on an off night - a not infrequent experience - and I leave it off the list next trip, someone ends up sighing and grumbling about it and it ends up back in rotation (and that means me babysitting MDE for an ADR. :/).

Tusker House breakfast is a must do for us. It is a family tradition. I started taking DS19 to Donald's Breakfastosaurus at Restaurantosaurus when he was 5 on our first trip. When it moved over to TH, we followed. Now I have DH and DD5 but DS no longer chooses to travel with us.

50's Prime Time is another one that we do every single trip. And is currently the reason for our fall trips. DH loved the fried chicken (he isn't normally a fan of it) so much that he requests 50's Prime Time for his birthday dinner. Just twist my arm and force me to go back to Disney. LOL

DH always wants to go back to the tried and true. I want to go to new one's so we compromise and try a few of the old ones and a few of the new ones. Via Napoli last time. Thinking maybe Yak & Yeti this time. DD is getting older and more into princesses so we will probably start tossing in princess meals too.

That's Ohana for my family!

Trying HDDR for the first time this trip. Slowly but surely I will get that Golden Spoon! That just means I need to book more trips ;)

I won't even open take the Golden Spoon test...I have a firm policy of never opening any Disney board thread that has the word "foodie" in the title unless I can infer it is used ironically. :)

Do not feel bad :).

I've looked at those "Golden Spoon" Restaurants. For the most part? They are total garbage :).

Stick with the honest SIGS. The Dishonest ones, elevated to SIG for Crowd Control are (so far)

1) Le Celier
2) M Pauls
3) CRT (GREAT character - not a Sig)

We ALWAYS book a Crystal Palace pre-park opening breakfast. We also repeat 1900 Park Fare and 50's Prime Time a lot!

Agreeded, the term tends to turn me off too but they had golden in the title ;)

Lots of Ohana recommendations here, guess we will have to try it out next time. The menu does look good.

Cheers!

Rose and Crown on arrival day is a must! And my daughter insists on Liberty Tree Tavern every time as well
