My friends just checked in to a renovated room in RPR and I thought there'd be flat-screen televisions but I guess not.

Shoddy cell-phone pix coming soon. :)

Turned down at 4pm? Hehe.. Also, they have iHomes in them so bring your iPods. :)

Is that the standard room and if so I can't see more than 2 staying in those rooms lol a tight fit:lmao:

We just stayed at RPH last week. We had booked a standard king but were upgraded to a king suite. The living area had a flat-screen TV. Just FYI.

That's great! I'm curious, were you upgraded because of a Loews First card or just because you were nice to them? :)

Honestly, I have no clue why or how I was upgraded! I joined Loews First when I made my reservation, but they didn't even have my number on file. I had to add it when I checked in! I did call three days before check in to request a renovated room, higher floor, in tower 1. I specified that we could not be in tower 2 due to pet allergies.

When I checked in, he said, "OK, you are in a king suite." When I said, "No, just a regular standard king," he said, "Looks like you received an upgrade."

I doubt it would ever happen again! But now we are spoiled. It was lovely to have the extra space in the newly renovated room. I am always nice, though, and I had my VERY excited 12-yo DD with me. :)

Good for you! I think I'll be requesting the same thing in May! It's worth a shot. ;)

always ask about upgrade.....better shot if it's slow/off season and hotel is rather empty....luck of the draw!
