No fireworks at MK the first week of May?

Could this be true? I checked the "official" website and there are no times for fireworks at MK. I thought the MK had fireworks EVERY night. What is going on? It is just not going to be the same if I don't see the fireworks coming over the top of Cinderella's Castle, I don't know what I am going to do

You are right-so far there are no fireworks or spectro from April 24 through to May 9. First FIS is May 10th unless they change the schedule. Grad nights are April 25/26, May 2/3 and May 9th.

We leave on April 30 for 6 days and I atleast was hoping we would see Spectromagic and Fireworks on Sat!!
Maybe they will add it as it gets closer. I suppose the resorts are not very full or they would not be cutting back so much!

What I don't understand is the MK seems to be the most popular of the parks and it is the one that always gets cut the most.....

Oh well I am still ready to go have some fun!!!

We have gone to Disney the first week of May every year since '95, and it has always been hit or miss whether there are fireworks. Some years, they've had them just on Saturdays, others they were every other night, last year, if I recall, there were none at all when we were there. It is traditionally a very slow time for WDW, as evidenced by the cheap room rates I've gotten in years past and the very aggressive marketing to FL residents for those weeks.

You would think that if it's that slow in May they might change the rack rates from regular to value to drum up some more business?

I have but I can't use any due to the package I'm on.

Can you switch your package over to any of the codes that are good for packages?

No, we tried about a doz different scenerios and the codes made the pkg come out to more than what I am already paying with AAA plus we are paid in full (WDTC rules) and cancellation/change fees apply now.

Best place for codes is mousesavers or search for a post on this board for current codes. There seems to be quite a few out right now.
