What exactly is the no Expiration Option? Can anyone use these tickets or are they each for one person and one person only? Like my Mom & I are going to WDW in Oct. and then I'm going with my DH in Nov. Could they each use the same ticket or no? If I buy the no expiration option for a 2 day ticket, how does it work?

Be careful not to confuse "No Expiration" with "Unlimited Use".

No expiration means if I buy a 5 day ticket, and get the no expiration, then I go to the parks 4 days - that means I have 1 more day I can use that ticket and it can be on a totally different trip.

The real value comes in with the fact that as you buy more days, the additional days get cheaper and cheaper, so if you know you are coming back it may be worth it to pay the premium and get more "days" on one ticket to use across more than one trip.

I beleive technically you are not supposed to "share" tickets. But if you pay for a 7 day adult ticket, and DH uses 4 days on trip #1, no one is going to be upset if your mom uses the other 3 days on trip #2.

I believe that all tickets now use biometrics to link them to the person who first uses them, so sharing of tickets is no longer possible.

Your finger is scanned and it is linked to the person that used it. That means that no one else can use it. Your DH and your Mom could not use the same ticket.

Disney tickets are like:

1. Toothbrushes. You can't share them after the first time you slide them into the turnstile.

2. Rocket science. You need a calculator, a clear brain, and lots of charts like at Allearsnet tickets FAQ to understand them. Also, it doesn't make sense to non-rocket scientists.

Your mom and your DH won't be able to use the same ticket. However, if you look into the prices, YOU shouldn't buy a two-day non-expiry ticket either... it will be cheaper to buy two single-day admissions.

Trust me. Go for the single-day admissions!

Well, Disney might be upset. Since they went to the biometric scan system to prevent the sharing of tickets that probably means they care. Tickets are non-transferable. :teeth:

Your use of "no one" may be a bit off.
;)

I bought no expiration tickets prior to my last trip because we were only going for 3 days but to purchase a 7 day ticket with no expiration was only $60 more per ticket.. so for $60 extra per ticket we got 4 more days that we can use on a later trip.. Made sense for us.. Especially since prices go up each year.. We were going to keep them until we go in 2008 but it looks like since we wont have to pay for more tickets since we have 4 more days on the tickets, we may go back during the christmas season this year..

On the note of only one person using them.. that is true.. We just got back from WDW.. we forgot to sign the back of the cards so we didnt know whose was whose.. On the first day we put the tickets in and had to put our finger on that machine.. the second day DF just handed me a ticket and we hoped there wouldnt be a problem.. I must have had his ticket because it wouldnt work.. he handed me the other one and it worked.. The worker handed us a pen and we signed them right then so we would know for future..
