No Emails

I'm not sure where to post this question. I am not getting any emails notifying me of posts on threads I'm subscribed to. I'm getting other email, but none from the DIS. What's going on?

Do you have it set correctly in your options? Go to user CP and look under options, messaging/notification.

Do you guys have Verizon Online? I've spent the better part of the morning with online help, and the best we have come up with is Verizon's tightened spam filtering. I had to go to www.verizon.net/whitelist and fill out a form to allow email from disboards.com to come through. It might take 3-4 days before it's "approved" or "denied." I think they are being a little ridiculous in the "protections." Hopefully this will fix the problem for me. In the meantime, I get no notifications. I don't even know if pms are going through.

I'm having the same problem..I know why though. I had to change my email address. But I forgot my password to the disboard login I don't know how to log in and change my email.

I have hotmail and they are showing up in my junk mail folder. I periodically check there because things often get shuttled there instead of my inbox. Hope you find them

Here is something posted by Webmaster Alex earlier.

There are several issues with email notifications you need to be aware of.
1. More and more people are using various confirmation methods to control spam such as the ones that send out a message "please reply to this email, I have a new system to reduce spam". The boards will not work with such a system and you need to turn email reply's off.
2. The boards will not work with AOL email. This is entirely on AOL's side, I have fought with them, yelled at them, begged them and it never does any good for more than a week. At this point we have to just accept it will not work with AOL emails.
3. Many of you have "throwaway" accounts that are over quota etc.

In any of the above cases could you please turn off email notifications in your user control panel? You will make the boards faster for everyone!
