No DVD player what did I miss?

So we are at BWV on our last night. Planned on taking it easy, diner and get a DVD from community hall. We go down get the Tower of Terror movie, I know it's cheesy but it's like a tradition for us we always watch it. We go back to the room after dinner and shock, no DVD player in the room. We have been so busy this week I didn't even notice, when did they take them out or am I just so blind I can't find it lol.

I stayed in a renovated studio in December, I don't think there was a DVD player.

Did not call for one it was too late and it does not look like there is a set up for one. I get the impression they just took them out

Can you please talk to people there? It makes NO sense to have the Community Center with DVDs but have nothing to play it on.

If I remember correctly (which I may not....), I think studios originally did not have DVD players, just 1 bedroom and up.

I'm looking at pictures of other studios on allearsnet, it looks like they have players. Including VWL, which has the goofy table setup.

The renovated BWV TV is 55", maybe there was no room for the player?

I have had to call the last three trips on the first night, to have a DVD player brought up and installed.
This changed earlier this year with DVC removing DVD players from all studios. I have put in a request for my next stay in June, lets "see" if it comes through.

Sorry Im just seeing this and I am already home did not have access to my iPad yesterday it was packed in my luggage while we were at the pool after checkout.

What's the point in removing the DVD players that are already paid for from the studios? I don't understand that at all, especially since borrowing DVDs is a feature we quite enjoyed on our previous stays.

Same here. Room 2121, renovated 1BR, standard view. DVD player in living room.

We always bring several DVDs with us to watch while on vacation. I hope they are not removing the DVD players from any of the villas, be the villa a one bedroom, two bd or studio. Does anyone know, is it possible to request one if it is not in the room?

I just checked my pictures from my January vacation:
1. Beach Club Villas deluxe studio had a DVD player
2. Poly Villas deluxe studio did not have a DVD player.
But then again, at BCV the TV is on a stand, and there is room for the DVD player. In the Poly, the TV is mounted on the wall above the hideaway bed, so there is no place for a DVD player.

They do have Blu-Ray players in the VGC studios.
