Finally caught up I had to take couple months away from the boards. I'm sorry your husband and you got sick, its never fun when a man gets sick. I can't wait for some pictures. I'm trying to get my husband to go during holiday season.

I'll be sure to take LOTS of pictures!!! I also want to try my hand at a video trip report. Ya know the kind that people put to music?? I think those are SOOO cool and I've made those video montages for school programs before so hopefully doing it for Disney won't be too hard. We shall see!

Oh wow, what an ordeal overall. So sorry to hear that you are sick but glad that you're feeling better; boy, it's that time of year isn't it?? I can't do blood draws, they would have had to guess for me (and I DON'T have small veins, yikes ). Glad you could do it and get a real diagnosis though!

My ex (who I am still very close to) just had an emergency appendectomy on Friday, and he is feeling awesome today, so maybe it wouldn't have been too bad, if it DID happen! He's ready to go back to work and hasn't even used pain meds.

Oh no!! I just commented on your page that I hadn't heard about your poor ex being in the hospital and I guess that's why. It was fast! I'm definitely feeling fine and will not need an appendectomy. Sometimes just the fever, the dark of night and my crazy mind do weird weird things.

10 days!!!!!!! I'm at 10 days!!! It seems like I've been counting down for forever and now suddenly I have a MILLION things that need to get done! This trip has suddenly just snuck up on me!

So.....where were we???? Oh yeah - Day 6

Day 6 is another Hollywood Studios day. We only spent one late evening here this summer and regretted it once we got home so this time we have 2 full days in the park and one late evening as well.

Lunch (although I would rather it be dinner and I'm working on that) is at 50s where I learned from the GREAT "emmysmom" that I can order the kid's fried chicken. I don't eat a whole lot so that when I order an adult meal I am way too full for dessert. I'm hoping that if I order a kid's meal here I will have enough room left for a great shake to go!

I also have three FP+ reservations which include Toy Story and two others. I would share with you what the two others are but they change on an almost daily basis. Instead of resort changers, I am a FP+ changer. I'm never satisfied and am always trying to get the most out of it in case they take away FP- right before our trip which looks more and more likely as we get closer. I'm still hoping for a bit of and that we will be able to use both but if not, we will figure it out.

I just have a couple BIG obstacles to getting to our trip. This Wednesday I have my MAJOR observation for the fall semester. This is the one I've prepared for all year so far. Then this week is DS7's Christmas musical weekend which is a whirlwind of dress rehearsals, musicals, etc. I know I know who in the world has a Christmas musical before Thanksgiving???? Ummm obviously we do!

We also have lots of family coming in for both the musical and to see us for "Thanksgiving" so I should stay pretty busy all weekend long. I'm hoping that I can convince one of our family members to take the boys out for ice cream or something for a couple of hours so that I can sneak our Disney stuff into the car. I have a car with a compartment that hides things in the trunk and I plan to put all of our Disney stuff in there until they figure it out.

Well that's totally enough rambling for tonight! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers! We are all feeling much better!

Well, I'm feeling a little like Santa Claus tonight. I just hid everything "Disney" into a special secret compartment in my truck. The boys don't know that it exists so I should be safe unless of course we get a flat tire.

Plans with us are never solid. I do think however that I would love to get it on video. This will be really hard to do because I am the photographer and the driver (I get really car sick if someone else is driving). I am thinking of keeping the whole "We're following Dad to work" story through the first part of our journey there. We will sleep in the hotel where "Dad will work" and I am thinking that maybe when we get up the next morning after breakfast, we could spill the beans.

We would be about halfway there and I would be able to get their reactions (however good or bad) on video.

I have a couple of family members who do not believe that surprising them with the trip is a good idea. They believe that this will ruin the trip for the boys but whatever, I'm doing what I want (isn't that what I do anyways??) and if they don't like it, it's o.k. because it isn't their kids.

Anyways, I'm messing around again with ADRs. Today my oldest son mentioned wanting to eat at Teppan Edo when we go in May. Unfortunately since we are going with family that doesn't eat in the parks in May, we won't have any fun ADR's. So.....I scored a Teppan Edo for this trip but I'm going to have to give up BOG for it. I will keep both reservations until we get there and I'll let it go to a vote. I'm pretty sure I will be outvoted because the two younger boys have stated that they do not need to eat at BOG again since DS7 did not like the food. We shall see!! Also, the Teppan Edo reservation overlapped my FP+ for Epcot that day and I'm terrified to try to change them!

Let's see if I can mess up something!

My own brother gave me the "Disney again?" this trip. I reminded him later in the conversation how often they go to Tahoe.

I just can't move the Epcot ones, I just can't. Not in this early test phase. I don't care too much about Soarin' but now that I've decided I want to ride it, I want to ride it!

So the boys got home from soccer practice and while the little ones are taking their 3 second bath (do you have boys? Do you know how they do that? I don't even think they are clean.) I spoke with DH and explained that since DS11 really wanted Teppan Edo and since the boys didn't care for BOG, that maybe I would replace BOG with Teppan Edo.

He completely freaked out as in "You didn't cancel it did you!?!??!?!?!?! THAT was my FAVORITE meal last time!!!"

"Oh really?" (If you remember THEY were the ones who didn't think it was worth going to on the day of Tropical Storm Andrea!!)

"Yes really. I don't want to lose that one. You can take off any other one."

Well I had to fiddle with it quite a bit but I was able to keep BOG and add Teppan Edo.

And I didn't even have to move my Epcot FP+!!!!

Now to finish preparing for my big observation this week. Tomorrow I interview. Wednesday I teach and she watches. Thursday I re-interview. Friday, I drink lots of wine! I can do it. I have got Disney in my sights!

Thanks!! I had JUST finished telling DH right before reading this post, "Well everyone is happy now....at least until someone mentions another restaurant." He just laughed.

I'm hoping we are able to keep it a secret at least until we are on the way. We almost slipped up tonight but the kids were in another room and didn't hear DH. He was talking about someone on FB going to Disney during Thanksgiving and said, "Wonder if we will meet up with them...." to which I started clearing my throat and hollering and making all kinds of racket.

Sadly, I'm just lazy. I changed quite a few ADR's and FP+ reservations that were in the first days which I have already shared. AND.....I don't feel like going back and retyping it all so here's a quick summary of what we do have.......

Surprising the kids is the best. Besides it's not like they haven't had trips that they got to help plan. Why do people think they know what is best for other families? Geesh!

I am packed, DH is packed but neither boy is packed. I have to pack them up, clean up the house, and help them finish up all of their extra homework before we leave tomorrow afternoon!!!!

They are still "in the dark". And if no one messes it up before we leave tomorrow, we will tell them Thursday morning before we leave for the last part of our journey to Disney!! I want to be able to video it so I'm hoping to tell them before they figure it out!
