Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they will open so you can have one before your trip ends. We waited longer in line to get one of those than we did most attractions the last time we were there.

If that happens to you again, and you have time to stop over at the Polynesian, you can get a Dole Whip from Captain Cook's.

Don't feel too bad for me.

1. I am a FL resident

2. I was just there for the day

3. I had one the last time I was there...last week.

I just thought it was stange that it was closed in the middle of the day like that. I've seen it closed first thing in the morning, but thats about it. It's usually open even when lots of other things are closed (like EMH's and hard ticket parties) This was a Saturday and during FDDP.

Must have been some sort of technical difficulty or perhaps even a pipe burst or or I'd hate to wonder if perhaps a case of some sort of unsafe medical problem. It is very rare to close down any stand without warning and would have to take something serious.

That's odd. They were definitely open yesterday morning. We left the park around 1:00. I know it was open before that because my husband was debating getting one so, of course, we had to walk by it several times because he can't make a quick decision I wonder what might have happened???

We were there last night around 9 and they were open and there was a line. Whatever happened must have only been temporary.

I don't get the big deal about a Dole Whip, but the Dole Whip Float is a special treat for me.

Sometimes it seems to get confused on the boards, lots of time people post that they love their Dole Whips, when really they mean Dole Whip Floats.

Those of us that get Dole Whip Floats all the time get tired of typing the Float


(Kind of like we get lazy typing reservation, appetizer, and I've even seen breakfast abbreviated to breakie...)
