No Dogs On the Sofa

In my sig, Toby is laying on what has slowly become "his sofa". As you can see, his highness even requires a pillow. I have a pic on my desktop of him with his head on a pillow AND a blanket over him. Spoiled? Not my pooch!

We have that rule here too but I just know my Sheltie is all over our couch when we leave the house - that little stinker!

Our dogs do it too. We gave up trying to keep them off the couch. They really enjoy using a pillow too and my younger dog likes a blanket. My DH says they are spoiled but I have caught him "covering up" Summer with a blanket.

Our dog sits on the couch, in fact, I bought a dark brown leather couch to match her (she is mostly white with some brown around the ears, face, shoulder, and tail).
She matches perfectly.

The price for sitting on the dog's couch here is you must throw the ball or frisbee. If you aren't willing, the dog will sit on you until you decide to find another seat. That's why I'm on the DIS so much. It's a chair the dog doesn't like!

My dog has his own waterbed ... I'm not kidding. He lives at my mom's and since my brother went away to school, he has taken to his waterbed. It's gonna be ugly when he gets home this holiday.

I have good furniture in my front living room I tell the dog not to get on. Other then that he is free to go where he wants. He also will bring you a ball or stuffed animal or whatever else is lying around to play fetch with you if you are on the couch. He LOVES to play fetch and loves stuffed animals. My kids have to hide their favorite ones.

we have the same rule in our house.
so we "gave" her a lay-z-boy recliner. doesn't match anything else in the family room...but she knows that's HER chair

in our "formal" living room, we have a dark green chenille set with "loose backs"...i can totally tell when she's been on it...pillows and cushions everywhere...and covered in white dog hair!

Tigger&Belle, that's exactly what my Nikki looks like right now! I'm downstairs (supposed to be working), and she's upstairs on her favorite sofa! She has me trained very well--she can go on any of the furniture. The only place she's not allowed is our grandson's bed because she tore up his comforter her first week here.

My pug's newest thing is she REALLY likes to lay on a down thro on the couch. Usually she lays in her bed, but since it was relocated because of the Christmas tree, it's the leather sofas all the way!!

She really likes to cover dive in bed during the winter. Can't tell you how many times I've woken up to discover her head is on my pillow and her body is under the comforter!!
