No DL rooms 3-11 Nov ?

Am I missing something? I just looked the DL site has no rooms in any hotels that full 7 days. Am I on crack or is something going on that time?

I could be on crack too - but odds are the rooms just aren't released online yet.

Last year in June I tried to book for October and freaked out that there were no rooms - shortly thereafter they arrived.

I am unsure of that week however their is a huge Engineering (P.Eng) conference down there starting November 10. Mabey some people are booking the week before to do DL. I am flying down on the 14th to do DL with dh.

Tell me more about this Eng conference....How many people are we talking about? 100-300? 400-500? More? Any idea? I seemd to be picking value season with meg confrences going on my last two trips. It always works works out great, but I want I want I want (feels great to want you know) the no people in the park time that workd with my schedule.

Thank you all, I shall look again in a few weeks. Did I tell you I want (that want thing again) the fabulous AP rate of under $100.00 per night also.

Don't know about the DL website but getawaytoday is showing availability for all 3 DLR hotels for those dates. Have you tried calling Disney direct.

For Disney rooms, I've found the best prices (and availability) at http://www.americanexpressvacations.com

EDIT: You don't have to be a cardholder to book through them.

I did call (Disney Travel Co) and the gal told me they have a full house as of now. I guess this means I need to find a different date. No major big deal, but I would have rather gone the first part of the month.

I know that other travel companies get a batch of rooms so I could find someone else to book with, but I figure if the DL site is full, that means the park will be busy.

I judge the park levels on the fullness of the 3 hotels. I don't always book direct WDTC, but if they have the best deal going, I will. I have used many different companies in the past, it is all based on who had the best deal to fit my needs at the time.

Thank you for the info I will check the AMX site (never used them) but I was wondering what was going on and now we know.

From the *tiny* bit I know and/or understand about hotels, is that just because the company that one would think would know all is saying they are full, doesn't mean they don't have bunches of rooms allotted to Costco Travel, AAA, and so on. Have you looked through those sites, to see if they have rooms even though WDTC doesn't?

Someone else did mention in a reply to you that getawaytoday.com has rooms for that timeframe...
