No Disney this year... or possibly next

We have not been to WDW since October 2011. We went to DLR last year in November.

We will be headed to Baltimore and Pennsylvania in 2 weeks instead of our Disney vacation. Wanted to mix it up a bit.

Looking at the schedule and our points, I think that we might skip 2014 as well. It's great to be a DVC member, but we need to go. lol.

We have been in a constant state of borrowing, so this should get us back to square and even points ahead. But, its just a bummer knowing it could be that long.

But when you do return to WDW everything will seem familiar, yet fresh and new! We always enjoy returning to Disney after a couple year's hiatus. It's like a first trip again.

We're looking at a 2 year hiatus from WDW, but plan on getting in Vero Beach as our Disney fix. DVC is great for mixing it up and not always needing to go the the parks, but still get the 'magic'.

We did our last parks trip in Sept. 2011, a non-park trip last October, and are headed to Aulani next month.

While all of this has been wonderful, I am itching to plan our next parks trip for October 2014. Like someone else said, it will be like a whole new experience.

Our kids are old enough now (almost 12 and 9) that travel to other places is easier than it used to be (we did DC, Williamsburg, Asheville NC this summer), but I hope that we will always get that Disney itch to "go home." I know I will!

We skipped WDW last year and only did one DVC trip to DL last year(well worth it because VGC is stunning).

This year we went to VB for spring break and other than my solo trip this coming weekend, the kids wanted to do other things this year. Hit Williamsburg, went skiing MLK weekend and have a short Thanksgiving trip to the Washington DC area to visit friends.

Will be stepping up Disney next year, spring break at BCV and just booked a cruise on the Magic in January. Myrtle Beach is on the calendar for Memorial Day weekend, then we are in a holding pattern for summer. Need to wait to January to see when I can schedule wisdom tooth removal for my eldest. Went for consultation and they are 6 months out for surgery!
