I have been getting quite a few emails from DIS'ers looking for Disney Store Rhode Island State Pins. I can understand that since there are only 2 of us here on the DIS from Rhode Island that collect pins. I'm posting this so save some of you the trouble of emailing me.
I work on Saturdays and I wasn't able to get any Rhode Island State Pins.
Not even one for me. I emailed a couple of people that I knew had RI pins to try to trade for one or buy one. I didn't have anything "GOOD ENOUGH" to trade for one and the other 2 never even answered my email.
This is the busiest time of the year for our business. The catering part of our business requires me to be in the restaurant every day especially the weekends before Christmas. Business is good...we have been very fortunate.
I called both Rhode Island Disney Stores the afternoon of the 15th. Each store only received 75 pins. That's 150 Rhode Island pins total. According to the cast member I talked to there was no limit and her store sold out within the hour.
I have lived in Rhode Island all my life.......I'll die here. I only wanted 2 pins....one for me and one for pin fairy friend who has been very good to me. Someday I'll get them.
My daughter did find a couple of Massachusetts pins for me a few days later. I have 1 left if anyone wants to buy for cost or trade. Sorry! The pin is now GONE
