No Dinner Reservations 12/15 at Blue Bayou?

I have been trying since early this morning to get dinner reservations for the Blue Bayou the last night of our trip 12/15 and the only thing available is lunch. I can't believe they would already be full the entire night (a Monday night too). I know it's the holiday season but we go every two years, it's our last night tradition, and we have never had an issue getting priority seating before.
Has anyone else had any problems with this, could it be a glitch?

Thanks :)

There was some question about whether it would be open in December when ADRs opened for the first week of the month. Then a few days later the dates were added. Just keep watching. Hopefully they will add your dates soon. I can't imagine they would do any sort of a refurb that close to Christmas.

Thanks for the reply mom2rtk, I actually just finished reading your fantastic trip report from your last Christmas trip :) I had read about the possible Blue Bayou closure for the first few weeks in December but I thought we would be ok since our last day fell into the 3rd week. I'm going to try to call and see if there is possibly, fingers crossed, just a glitch. I can't imagine they would be doing a refurbishment the 14th and the 15th just for dinner time (lunch spots are available) and as you said so close to Christmas.

Update: I called and all they could tell me was that it wasn't open for reservations yet and to check daily.

Thanks! And I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get to eat at Blue Bayou. :) We are really looking forward to eating there again this year.

We were able to make reservations for 12/14 yesterday, by mid-afternoon yesterday the dinner reservations were all gone. So it is possible they're already filled up.

Hmm interesting (but yay for you :)) because the woman on the phone (I know they don't necessarily know more than us) said the dinner hours from the 12th on hadn't been open for reservation yet. Today was the 60 day mark and I got right on first thing this morning, So I'd be shocked if it was filled up. I guess I'll be checking daily :)

It might be worth a place holder lunch booking if they are filling up so you don't miss out altogether. From memory you can cancel up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty?

I was too late booking for dinner for our trip so settled for lunch. It was a great meal, fantastic place, and we had a table right by the water.

I know for sure dinner hours were open for the 14th (according to dh). With the times available when we made our reservation, we had to choose between late lunch and late dinner. We chose late lunch because it fit our plans better. I would guess the CM you talked to is misinformed. But, I do think it's possible more times may open up as the date gets closer and people cancel. Definitely doesn't hurt to keep an eye out.

For the heck of it I looked first thing this morning but this time for the 16th (today was 60 days) and there is nothing coming up available except for lunch. I'm really thinking something is goofy and eventually dinners will be open (although DahliaRW you got in on the 14th). After looking around the boards some more I read that some people had a similar thing happen earlier in the month with only lunch times appearing. I'll keep my fingers crossed and if worse comes to worse we may have to change our final night tradition

Ok, so I double checked with dh and must have misunderstood his email (this was the only reservation I didn't make myself!) He said he looked for times up to 6:30, not that 6:30 was an option. So we have lunch booked (at 3:20) and I guess that means dinner times are not up yet. Strange. They are up through the 11th, so I'm guessing they'll be up in the next few days for the 14th and 15th. Maybe this is a ploy to get those lunch spots filled.

I called again today to see if I got a different a response and the girl knew before I even finished that I was calling for Blue Bayou :) she said that they have been told that the evening entertainment schedule has not been finalized and once it was they would open up dinner time (seems odd to do that) and that the same thing occurred earlier in the month. She also said to check whenever I could because it could be morning, noon, or night when they do finally open up. I did took your advice DahliaRW and made reservations that we will cancel if/or hopefully when, they open up the 15th for dinner priority seating:thumbsup2

The wait is getting ridiculous! They have reservations up through 1/3, but not dinner ones past early December! Seriously, how long does it take to finalize an entertainment schedule? And they don't have the park hours up past 12/13 either...
