Good morning from AKL, y'all!

Today is my day to just hang out at the resort, with a possible side trip to DAK. Everyone needs a nice lazy day!

It is a bittersweet day, though, because I got a call late last night telling me that my brother in law died suddenly yesterday I feel guilty not being able to be there for my sister, and it makes it a little hard to really enjoy being here. However, it's also a reminder that life is short, and we all need to drink it all in while we have the chance, so I'm sitting here with my breakfast of zebra domes, sipping coffee and watching the zebras outside.

I have internet until 8pm today, so if you have any questions about the lodge, or want photos of anything, let me know! I've been up for two hours, and have taken 173 photos, if that tells you what kind of trip report this is going to be! I've got some good stories to tell when I get home!

Crystal! First of all - we miss you! I'm so sorry you got the bad news yesterday. It must really put a damper on your mood. Hang in there. You'll be home soon and I'm sure your sister understands. Try to enjoy your quiet day at AKL. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of your pictures! I'm sending another hug, just for good measure!

Aw Crystal Im so sorry about the bad news you recieved. Im sure your family understands and you are so right with life being too short. Keep your head up and Im sure your brother in law would want you to enjoy your trip.

By the way that picture is beautiful! I cant wait to read your trip report and see all your pics! And I agree everyone needs a lazy day at disney. So have a great day cant wait to read your trip report when you get home!

I think the worst thing in the world might be getting a phone call like that. I am so so so so sorry for your loss... what you and your sister must be feeling! God, that is so terrible. I can't think of a better cheer-up place than where you are right now though! Have a great rest of your trip and I hope you feel better!
