No code for after May 21st!?

Count me in! We're the 21st-26th. With all the great AP discounts everyone's been getting today, I called - I don't have an AP yet but was thinking of getting one but I was told unless ALL our dates fell within the discount period, I was out of luck - CM did mention that it didn't use to be that way til this year - Gee, thanks! I assume it ends on 05/21 because of Memorial Day although I checked Mousesavers and last year's AP discount was good thru June 2nd. - Mem. Day was the 28th that year so they allowed that last year too. It seems that getting a discount this year isn't going to be easy!

I think the Visa code that just came out that gives you free ticket upgrade (PH/WP) is going to become avail. tomm. to the public but it ends May 21st too! Although a CM I spoke with yesterday said since it's only tickets that are affected we should be able to get it with a check-in of the 21st. but I don't know for sure. Not that it matters much - I'd save just a tad anyways.

I also noticed on Mousesavers that there were a couple of general public codes that included our time period last year - one became avail. in Jan. (obviously they didn't do that this year) and another came up in March but I think that was for the free ticket upgrade.

Does anyone think we have a chance for any discounts? I've given up on a personal pin code but still holding out for something.

Someday my discount will come ............I hope.

I am giving my bucks to S/D, because they ARE running a special during our time frame!!!!!!

I have to call and cancel the Poly.

Hopefully we won't miss it THAT much.

I'll join in the blues They always have AP rates going into the first week in June so what the heck happened this year . This is the first year we have a child in school so we can't even change our dates if we want to, our daughters last day of school is May 21st. I am soooooooo bummed!

Last year we went the week of Memorial Day. This week showed up for the first few days after the AP code was released. Then they just disappeared. I was never able to get what I needed for that week and availability was very limited. I guess this year they just didn't even bother. It is a GREAT week to go and we had a blast. Not too hot yet and the crowds were not bad at all. Hope you have a great trip!

We have gone Memorial Day week the last several years and I have always gotten an AP code. I am bummed also, looking for code for May 30 - June 1st, have AAA discount at CSR for these dates but was looking for a better price. Paid $129 + tax last year with AP discount, paying $170 + tax this year with AAA. Good thing I decided to rent points this year, staying at Beach Club Villas 5/25 - 5/30 for a great price. Seems to me this a new trend with the AP discounts, fewer discounts and only during slower times of the year. It will be interesting to see what is released for the summer months.

The part that I made bold can't be true because just today our travel agent changed our reservation from the AAA rate to the AP rate EXCEPT for the last day, which is the night of May 22, and it's all still on the same reservation #. In other words, we didn't have to book the AP rate days under one reservation and then the last day under a second reservation.

I'd call back and ask another CM. You should be able to at least get May 21st under the AP rate.

P.S. I just read that you don't yet have an AP; in this case, I don't think it'd be worth to purchase one just for the room discount, unless you're willing to change your dates. I, too, am surprised that the cut-off is May 21!

Me too. We arrive 5/24 for 5 nights. I've got AAA rates at All Star Movies but was hoping for an AP rate.

I changed from AAA to use the Disney Visa code for May 17th-May 24th. I didn't pay a diffrent rate after the 21st.

I'm always trying to find an excuse to get an AP - thinking once I have one it will lead to more trips but you're right - getting the AP discount on only one night of our stay doesn't justify buying one. Every year I toy with the idea of getting one but then because we aren't flexible with our travel dates (DD in high school) I back out because I'm afraid I won't get be able to get AP rate on a room when we can go.

On a happy note though I did get in on the Visa/now public code for free ticket upgrades this a.m. I saved $140 off my AAA pkg. price and got the waterparks thrown in (didn't have WP on AAA pkg.) Not alot but I'll take it! Of course again this has me thinking of an AP - I've heard that you can turn in your free (upgraded) ticket towards an AP and get the full $ amt. meaning I only paid for a 10 day base ticket but will get credit for a 10 day ticket with PH/WP if I exchange it for an AP. Don't know for sure if this true but it could mean a $100 savings to me off an AP - the wheels in my head are turning again....

Me too! - even though our check-in is the 21st (last day of discount code period) we still got the deal! Wasn't sure if it would work that way but got it this a.m.
