No Chef Mickey´s!

I can´t believe it!

I just called to book a PS for our first night at Chef Mickey´s (in October), and they are already fully booked. That is, they do have a table for us at 9:45, which is much to late for the kids. They didn´t even have anything available the following evening. I´m so sad. This was supposed to be a surprise meal for my family and a good way to start our magic at Disney.

I´d better hurry and make a reservation for our free character breakfast. Any recomendations (don´t want to do the princesses).

We have enjoyed the character breakfast at Cape May(Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale in beach attire, very cute) and Crystal Palace(Pooh and friends). Sorry about Chef Mickey's Have fun deciding!!

How many people are in you party? You might be able to walk in to Chef Mickey's at about 4:30-5:00. We have done this in the past but it's only been 2-3 of us.

Did you try for Breakfast too? I would keep trying and them I would try when there.

We´re 5 people.

We didn´t try for breakfast because we wanted to do breakfast at restaurantaurus and at the Chrystal Palace.

I´m gonna keep trying to get a PS until I leave, although it gets expensive when waiting on the phone from Europe. I don´t want to take the chance on showing up early the same day, since I´d rather have a PS for something else then.

I called several weeks ago and had the same rotten luck with CMs. I have a funny feeling Oct. is going to be a zoo this year. I called back several times and finally snagged one about 1 week ago.

This is one of those places that I was really surprised at how fast it was booking up this year. All the other years we've had no problems getting CMs. Some times it was pretty dead when we went.

Can you call 90 days out now instead of the 120 days?? Just curious. Yes I think October is going to be a zoo also.

I've done walk up at Chef Mickey's during a number of trips by showing up at 4:30-4:45 for a party of 6 and each time I had no problem getting a table...

We've done Oct and March

We walked up in July with a party of 10 and only had to wait 10 minutes -- a week earlier we walked up with our family of 6 and waited 30 minutes -- both times well worth the wait. We did try calling and were unsuccessful -- we were told that they leave room for walk-ins.

I also had problems getting a PS at our favorite place before MNSSHP .
I took the advice and called back each morning and told them I was staying at a Disney resort and and finally received the PS time we had wanted.

I believe when someone cancels a PS or Disney releases them, they become available the following morning...it worked for me.

You guys sure make me feel a bit better. I'm gonna try calling Chef Mickey´s once we arrive in Orlando and I´ll also try just to walk in. I want this dinner soooo much.

Don't give up Freyja - people chop and change PS's all the time so you still may be lucky

As for the DC toll free number (please people, don't post this number on the boards, this is a perk for a <b>paid</b> membership) it won't work from Europe anyhow.

In March we stayed at the Contemporary & couldn't decide ahead of time if we wanted to do breakfast or dinner there. So, after arriving at the hotel we were able to make a PS for the next morning for an early breakfast. I would definitely try to get in once you get there, too. It usually works out for us. Hope this helps!

Don't give up!!! We just returned from our trip, and had tried from 30 days out to get a dinner PS at Chef Mickey's. About a week before we left, they only had an 8:45 time available. I called 3 days before we left, still no luck. I called the day before we left and the CM asked what time I would like as they had just about all times available!!!! They were also taking a lot of walk ups. The same for Crystal Palace. We decided we would like to change the night we ate there, and I had some trouble getting the time and day we wanted prior to leaving. I called the morning we decided we wanted to eat there and once again, they had lots of availablity.

Hope you have the same luck we did!!
