No Characters at Cape May?

I am trying to get reservations for Cape May-I thought that was Character Dining. Is there a cut off time? We wanted to go at 6 but under Character Appearences it says this:

Character Appearances
Characters do not make appearances at this meal.

Are the characters only for earlier in the day?

Cape May has characters at breakfast, but not at dinner.
