why no buy ? if there is a good deal i will try:cool1:

Well sure if it is a good deal and you need the item. I guess it is all about needs over wants, hence if you don't need it and only want it don't buy it. No Buy!

1/14 = $0
1/15 = $406 ($258/$0 clothing, $528/$800 school, $320/$700 f/g/h)
$107.45 Gymboree (clothing)
$130 Best Buy ($45 household, $85 school exp)
$150 Disney Store (clothing)
$18.20 Walmart (groceries and I'll get a $5 rebate from what I bought too)

I'm out of soda so I'll get a few cases of that. I also gave in and spent my gymbucks to the tune of $107.45 ($7 in tax). I had $225 in kids clothes budgeted for next month so I guess that budget will be less $108. I must have thought gymbuck redemption was in Feb for some reason when I made the budget.

OK, I seriously fell off the no buy wagon today! :rolleyes1 Innocently enough I went into the mall (which I've already said I don't want to be at for ANY reason!) to redeem DD's free accessory coupon at Build a Bear. I restrained myself from buying anything over the $5 limit and got her a $5 pair of clearanced boots for her animal. $0 OOP for that. Then my mistake...I wandered into the Disney Store to see what was marked down since they were closing. $150 later I walked out. :headache: I did get a lot of pjs for the kids for under $5 each and one of those $90 Sleeping Beauty costumes for $38 but still! The clothing budget for next month is gone gone gone! Since I was already off the wagon I went over to Best Buy to see about a few things we needed...planned purchases so I guess not totally off the wagon and mostly school exps to boot but seriously another $130 later (for 3 things!) I was out of there. $45 of it was for a switch box thingy for the TV so we can keep the Wii, xbox and DVD player connected all at the same time, then a cooling station thingy for the netbook and a digital recorder that I need for 2 of my classes.
This would be why I don't go to the mall, ever! I should congratulate myself for staying away from the Gymbo side of the mall but it's not like I had anymore gymbucks to use! LOL

January 7th = $0 (stayed in again today.)
January 8th = $0
January 9th = $15 (Williams-sonoma. Saved $10 with coupon.) $42.17 (Costco. Saved $13 with coupons.) $61.67 (Petco. Saved $7.40 with coupons. $50 of that total was just a bag of dog food.)

January 13th = $55.56 at Walmart. $16.45 at Target. (Practically all stuff for our trip!)

Total so far = $499.90

Zero dollar days so far = 6/10

*We leave for Disney World in 5 days!

I decided that when we get back from vacation, I am not going to include vacation spending into my daily spending since it's obviously not something we do every month. So basically the 20th - 27th will not have any info.

;) Swmr, you did right by fixin' the kittin's but that was some bill!
I was expecting a large bill, but when they said that number I about had a heart attack! Thankfully the kittens are doing really well and leaving their stiches alone; so I'm hoping for no hidden expense there.

fingers crossed that all I have to buy for the rest of the month is gas

For some reason I'm finding January quite hard. My grocery budget is almost gone which didn't happen in Nov or Dec and I'm spending my "entertainment" budget faster than the pace at which I should be. I woinder maybe it's because I don't have that Christmas fund money to work with? Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with January?

Well, the "hoping" for another no buy day yesterday did not work out. I fell off the wagon. I kept seeing everyone talk about that Just Dance game for Wii at Amazon for only $26.99, so I ordered it. I guess I will put it in entertainment since I did not have another category planned for that type of thing. Oh well, maybe it will help me lose some of the weight I added on during the holidays.

I also did my lunch out today, but I am getting gas on the way home, so I will post that update later.
