Hi guys -

I just got back from WDW at WL. It was fantastic.

However, I just realized now that I never got a Bounceback offer for a return stay. When was this supposed to happen?

Can I call someone and ask what is available for me?

Just wondering.

Only if you are still there can you book a bounce back. You have to still be a guest to qualify.

OP, so so sorry that you didn't get it!!

That said-I'm stoked b/c BFF & I have a room-only reservation this weekend, and DH & I are planning on a longer stay next year to celebrate my milestone birthday (which I'm not saying how old I'll be . . .)!

we did not have a bounceback offer in our room last trip, but I knew to ask the maid for one they are the ones who pass them out. I actually took an extra on right off the maids cart too.

I didn't get a bounceback offer when I went in August. When I returned home I found out they were offering Free Dining for my dates next August. I called to see if they could do anything for me. I had to speak with a couple of people and they called the resort I stayed at to verify that I should have been given the offer. It took a while, but they let me book the free dining for next year. :goodvibes :cool1:

You were lucky. I have heard some that have been able to book and some not so lucky!

We were there Dec 10 - Dec 15 and didn't get a bounceback offer either. Disney's loss - now we're planning a trip in Dec 2010 to Universal instead. ;)

I guess it doesn't really matter now but I read if you don't get a bounceback offer in your room, you can go to the front desk and ask for one since you should still qualify to get one.

I've read that too. I guess I just feel a little slighted by Disney. We've never gotten a PIN (but I hear about my neighbor and all of her relatives getting them on a regular basis) and then didn't even get a silly bounceback paper either. So we're going to try something else next time.

OP sorry you didn't get the current BB offer and hope they will reconsider when you call in. :)

A friendly FYI to others who will be staying at a WDW resort, make a note that if you don't see the BB info in your room or on the room TV, to call extension 8844 from your resort room phone to ask about current BB offers BEFORE you checkout. :thumbsup2

We just returned from CSR and WL (12/18-12/24). At CSR we had one in our room and I thought I'd wait until WL to book. Well we did not have one in our WL room, so I asked concierge while I was down trying to print my boarding passes. The lady told me to call housekeeping. I did, and the mousekeeper said she'd have to check and see if there were any left - at first she did not know what I meant until I described what it looked like. Well I never heard from her and we were checking out the next morning. So I got on my iphone, looked up the DIS and found the BB thread from earlier in Dec. It had the resort ext #, % offs, the whole shebang. I just used that to call w/o the handout and booked for Sept. Thank goodness for DIS! :worship:

I too was lucky enough to get bounceback about 3 weeks after we returned from disney. i e-mailed them telling them the situation how i didnt get a flyer and a few days later a very nice woman called and said she could certainly add the free dining. I definitely did not expect to have any luck but i figured i lost nothing to at least try. Sure glad that i did, we are going back in august.

In theory! I won't go through it all again, but for our November stay at Pop Century, the front desk CM had no idea what I was talking about and her manager tried to tell me there was no current bounceback, though I knew there was from the boards. I called housekeeping and asked them to bring one. They said they couldn't do it that night, as it was past 10pm and I could call back in the morning. Well, we were leaving in the morning (it was only a 2 night stay). I tried calling the BB number that was on the old flier the manager gave me, but they wouldn't let me book it without the new code (probably b/c I was on my cell phone at that point, not in the room). I just wanted Disney to take me back!

It wasn't a huge thing for me, since we were coming right back in December at the Grand Floridian for Christmas. The BB was in our room. I booked 2 stays for 2010, one at Yacht Club and one at the Contemporary. However, I will now go down prepared with the number to call and the code. Live and learn.

It just shouldn't be that hard for people to book bouncebacks. If I wasn't trolling these boards everyday like most people, how would I even know? Disney should make it completely simple, available and obvious to encourage repeat guests. We hear lots of people saying they didn't have a flier in their rooms. Doesn't seem like Disney is in a position to be turning people away right now.

I agree, it shouldn't be so hard to find out about a Bounceback offer. It shouldn't be left up to the Mousekeepers to promote this. Couldn't they just put information about special offers in the folder you receive when you check in? :confused3

You would think if they offer it, they would want you to use it and Yes, give it out upon checkin.

Seriously! That's a great idea. How about leaving an automated message on your room voicemail with the details and number to call for more information as well. Put it on the info channel on the TV, etc. I'm sure people more creative than me can come up with lots of ideas. It just shouldn't be about searching it out for crying out loud. Most people won't be as demanding as the people posting here or won't even know about it, which is just terrible marketing.

Yes, not that it's exactly the same, but we were AP holders when the passalong cards were mailed (never received until May 15 or 16 and started May 1) When we were at WDW May 2 my son purchased a new AP. I found out about the passalong cards when we returned on May 8th!! You don't know what hoops we had to go through to get that 10% off since they never sent them before the promo started!! We did get the refund but what a chore! Also, I have been in WDW with others and they got the promo and we didn't. They really should (and used to) at least put it on the TV. I guess if you aren't watching that at the right time you won't see that. The best is to inform you at checkin like others have said.

People here use to mention the BB offer being shown on the TV... or so I thought. When I went last March, that's where I was looking for it. I did however have the card in my room before checkout, but didn't use it. At the time I never dreamed I'd be going back within a year. :rotfl: Then again, the dates were for the fall... and I KNOW I wouldn't have been able to go back then.

Earlier this month when my family and I were at WDW I was looking for the bounceback offer on the TV, however I never saw it mentioned.
