On December 5th we spent the day at Epcot. One of my snack plans was Beavertails in Canada. My sister has never had them before. How disappointed I was when we got to Canada and it was closed. The CM in the booth next to the Beavertails booth said they had closed down because they were not getting enough business.

I am not sure if that was just until the crowds picked up again or it is closed forever.

I guess I will have to take my sister to Ottawa...

They used to sell them in Cavendish, PEI but I don't think it is open there anymore....

How could anyone walk by and smell beavertails cooking and not buy one!!!

Juanita from PEI :flower1:

I can confirm they are not selling Beavertails from the booth outside the Canadian pavilion. That booth now advertises a variety of Canadian beers and wines and has only been open for a few days this past week (not every day). I, too, was sorry to see the demise of the Beavertail...

When I was there in early September, the booth was closed. The person working outside the Canadian exhibit sais that the booth only ran on certain hours of the day - don't remember if he actually told me a reason why, but I thought it was weird that they didn't have it open all the time - maybe that is why they are out of business.

I heard they might open a Tim Horton's there. I would rather have Beavertails than Coffee but Tim's might go over well for others. You udes to be able to get Beavertails on the Halifax waterfront.

I have heard the rumour that Timmy's will be replacing Beaver Tails. If I have only one choice I will go with Timmy's.

Sorry no Beavertails at WDW but when we were in Cavendish in August you could get them. I hate Tim coffee.

We asked when we were there in November if there was a Timmy's coming. The CM said there was an issue because there is a contract with Nescafe for all the coffee in WDW and they may not be able to get around it. We were also disappointed about the Beavertails booth being closed. I know that there is one in Toronto Zoo.

We had a nice chat with a CM in the Canada pavilion last night (Linda from Vancouver) and she said (although she didn't work in Food & Beverage) that her understanding was that the Beavertails disappeared because of a supply issue with the parent company. She did indicate that if people feel very strongly about the Beavertails they should send a note to Guest Relations as they take these types of issues seriously.

FWIW....
