I wore a small cross-body bag this past week and was not allowed to bring it on the rides even thought it was tiny. I think I saw people with fanny packs larger than my bag passing through easily. Can you get on the rides even with a large fanny pack?

As long as the fanny pack does not affect the restraints. Cross body's are loose and can "swing" and "come off"... I know I know, I wish I could take my hipster too but we gotta go what wont kill us.

Next year I'm wearing a fanny pack, then. The lines for the lockers are horrible.

It looks really roomy. Bigger than the swingpack I was wearing this last trip.

It's a perfect size. Still very small but big enough for a camera and sunglasses.

I just got back and I wore a fanny pack with no problems. It contained my camera, cell phone, etc. Lines for lockers were ridiculous!

I`ve bought one of those for this year....it`s in fuscia pink though......You`ll be able to see me from the air

We normally have a waist bag, all 3 of us. This was was just a bit nicer, and it does hold quite a bit. Camera, suncream and any little bits and bobs you may need.

For tickets we wear a HHN lanyard.

If you ever want a smile and have a British kid of say, under 11.....ask them what they think of your fanny pack..............stand by for childish giggles. My son`s face first time he heard an American say it......his face was a picture :rotfl:

It`s a bit of a roodie doodie word for lady parts

Oooh- good to know! I LOVE my cross body bag for parks- I'll have to find something new, I guess. Tell me more about these lockers- are they just in a centralized place, like at WDW, or are they available at every attraction? Are there only certain rides that won't let you bring a bag, or is it everything? Thanks!

All the roller coasters and even some rides like MIB have lockers... no bags permitted whatsoever. They are the are finger scan technology and fairly easy to use. But, the lines for the lockers are insane.

They are at all the attractions to which you cannot bring the bag on. I believe someone posted a list about a month ago. I want to say in included 6 but no more than 8 attractions. I have always raved about the locker system and the easy of use. I however, DO NOT and WILL NOT, travel during summer months or peak christmas holidays. I tend to go in early March, September, and October. When I do I almost always bring a bookback with a towel, my family's wallets, parent's/accompany's cigs, and of course our souvenir cups on the side. This bag fits JUST perfectly in the lockers with the cups.

LOL so true. In fact I still get a little giggly and wigged out when I hear people say "fanny pack". Growing up in England, fanny was a word that got your mouth smacked. To move here and see signs at Disney World advertising "Fanny Pack $12.99" I have to say was a strange experience at the age of 11. :rotfl:

I saw a couple with fanny packs turned away from MIB last week. If it was under a shirt I'd guess you might get away with it.

I was able to wear a fanny pack on everything we rode whle at Universal. Never even questioned about it.

That is also my experience for the past 10 years. However, there are some people who use a very large fanny pack that impedes the restraints. Those are not allowed.

What kind of fanny packs were turned away from MIB?

Regular standard sized like this:

It was just one (50's-60's) couple that I noticed because they were right in front of us.

I don't know if it was a fluke, the particular ride attendant, or that they were calling out ALL bags on that day to avoid arguments of what passed and what didn't. :confused3 Regardless, it can happen, even if not the norm.

That looks like you have to loop it through your own belt. Not sure if that is acceptable. They want it to have its own 3 prong belt closure.

Shoot. I really liked the shape of that one - I don't like traditional belt packs. Off to continue my search for a good bag for my trip! Thanks :)
