No Availability??

Wierd situation...we've never encountered this with free dining before.

For the past week we have been trying to get free dining and a room at a moderate. EVERYTHING seems booked already for late October (23rd)

Is anyone else having this problem?

I am not having a problem since we booked well in advance but I can say it's pretty popular time of the year between MNSSHP and F&W Festival.

I wish you luck and the only other thing I can say is to call Disney personally and see if they have something on their system that isn't available online and/or move your dates to the right.

In the past was it near the same time frame? I know that with F&W, the weekends do book up a little quicker in October.

yes, around the same time frame - always in October... give or take a week.

The system is showing availability now for CBR but THEN I noticed when I updated my cart again with something else (to check prices) I couldnt go back to my CBR booking!! eeeeekkk!!!!

this is CRAZY.... I'll keep checking I guess..

How many in your party? I'm checking for rooms in our systems through my agency (I'm a travel agent) and I can see some availability for Coronado Springs but it's for a king preferred room. If you want to PM me I can give you more information or help answer your questions. Also it does help to keep checking because rooms do open up. That's where having lots of time or a travel agent comes in handy

In late May I received a pin offer for this time period with free dining. I booked it. If that is the case, perhaps many people booked this before it became available to the general public. I noticed ADR booked up really fast for this time also.

I already have a reservation but have been trying to change my resort to POR. I have called EVERY day and checked the website multiple times daily with no luck at all. They did tell me they sometimes add more rooms but so far I've not seen that happen.

Both of the PO resorts are really popular, and the free dining promo started Aug 1. And the PINs went out back in May. POR was booked up within a couple of hours. At this late in the game, I'm not surprised that it's booked.

I called for a mid December stay when I got my PIN Code for free dining in June. At that time the rooms were already booking up at many resorts and I got in WL by the skin of my teeth. Remember the free dining rooms are separate and they only hold a certain number for that promotion. Keep checking and something might open up. As soon as you find something that you are ok with, take it and you can always change resorts later if something better becomes available.

My sister had a room booked at CSR and when FD came out she called to have it applied. She called 2 days after the promo was released to the public and couldn't get a room with FD at any moderate resort. She tried back several times and had no luck.

OOps, she will be there 10/19 - 10/26, so the same week as you.

We were lucky enough to piece together FD at CSR when we missed out on 8/1. It took us 4 weeks to get both 10/19-10/25 and then add 10/18-10/19 when that popped up. We initially booked POR, and weren't overly thrilled about CSR, but we'll take FD. To wrap up we snagged POR with the discount for 10/25-10/27. We found in calling that 10/25 was booked solid at POR for the FD offer.

I have checked POR periodically (since relented), and now and then you can find dates that include 10/23 and/or 10/24, but nothing for 10/25 (and you'd need the 3 nights for the offer).

Also, it is a popular weekend for locals as schools are out that Thursday and Friday, so likely they might have booked rooms for the weekend too possibly. :S

Keep trying, you never know! If I weren't persistent we would not have FD at all. Check early AM too (oddly, I've had the best luck on Thursdays).

Before Free Dining was ever announced, we had booked with POR, after the craziness of the first day, I called and they were not able to change our existing reservation at POR to Free Dining. I was pretty frustrated since I had been assured by multiple CM's if it was booked, they could add it to an existing reservation. So, for the time being, we moved to Caribbean, but I was not happy. I had stayed there before, while I liked it, I was wanting to try a different resort and I did not like the fact they only have double beds. What's up with that?!?! I called about once a week and was finally able to get switched to POR with free dining. I was SO excited! So, keep trying!!! Especially as it gets closer, people may be canceling before they have to make their final payment!
