The only availability is either AKL or All Stars . . .I really was shooting for WL . . .but all they had was a suite for $1061/for 4 days . . .ummmmmmmm NOOOOOOOO, way out of my price range!

Anyone know what the heck is going on besides Columbus Day Weekend? Any LARGE conventions? I cannot believe that everything is booked solid . . .isn't October supposed to be the slooooooow time?

AKL sounds nice . . .but isn't it far away from the parks? I know it's only 1 mile away from Animal Kingdom . . but how far is it away from Epcot or MK?

Last week the Beach Club and Boardwalk/Yacht Club Concierge were available, as well as AKL. That was it.

We just took the AKL $139/night deal last night! Although the hotel is a little out of the way - what a deal? It's over $100 off the rack price! I'll ride a couple extra minutes on the bus to get that kind of room deal.

The Walt Disney World Golf Classic officially starts on October 14th. It is possible there will be a lot of logistical people check in on the days prior to that. Just a guess, but that combined with it being Columbus Day weekend might be the reason.

Make sure to check a variety of different travel options - check out the travel websites (travelocity, expedia, orbitz), check different travel agents, try Disney directly. All of these vendors have a certain amount of rooms available to them. If travelocity says no availabilty, try expedia and etc..

If I had a chance to go to WDW, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again at AKL - we really enjoyed our stay there - atmosphere, CMs, food, tours, savannahs, animals, etc. Or I wouldn't hesitate to stay at All Stars either!

With CBR closed for that time period, they may be holding a block of rooms for transferrees until they get them all rearranged. You may want to try back again in a couple of weeks, once the CBR relocation is done.

I would definately stay at AKL! We just stayed there this past February and found the bus service to be excellent. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. It took 5 minutes to get to AK and about 15 to Epcot & MGM, and 20 to Magic Kingdom. AKL is really a unique resort unlike no other!

Instead of just the 4 days you want, try asking for the whole week.I know this sounds crazy,but for some reason sometimes it works.If you happen to be able to get ressies for the whole week,book that, and then just cancel the days you don't want.
We did this one year at the Contemporary Tower.

We are going that same week and I had the same problems with availability. Take the AKL for now and keep trying for anything else.
