No availability for a week in October under discounts?

We have been going the 3rd week in October for the last few years and by far this has been the worse year for availability although I should have seen this coming when we couldn't book the BB deal for this year because all of October and November were excluded.

We have traveled the third week of October the past few years, too and wanted to take a trip that overlapped with some friends. But with nothing at the Epcot resorts, we switched to another time of the month that wasn't so busy.

Does anyone suspect they will announce another room discount offer in the near future? Based on previous years it looked like they offered more rooms up in early May for October at discounted rates.

They already have a room only discount out for dates through November 4th. I expect them to have a new offer which will cover the rest of the year, but not until later in the year.

We're going with friends for the first 1/2 of our trip and because they can't change their dates, we're locked in .

This is my thought too but I'm still going to hope that something opens up as it gets closer for the 1/2 half of our stay. If it does, I will do a split stay, if it doesn't, at least I have my room at CSR, business class. I do enjoy CSR, but I'd rather be closer to Epcot for F&W!!

We had a BC trip last Oct 21-26 with the BB discount. The BC is usually booked solid so I was very surprised and happy to get it last year. About a month before our trip date our daughter called us to tell us she was crashing our trip. She was able to get BC GV with a discount from Oct 19 to 24. I asked her how in the world did she manage to do that when the resort is usually booked up. She said she just called and it was available. I guess timing is everything.
