No Availability at Poly in late Jan 2022

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a vacation for late January 2022 and noticed there were no rooms available at the Polynesian. I know this is usually “off season”, so I was surprised that there was nothing open. I even tried changing my dates around. Does anyone have information about what might be going on?

Just keep checking. I am going in less than a month and I'm trying to move a few things around and a ton of resorts, that weren't previously available, are now available. Availability changes all the time.

Agreed.. Im trying to get out of the Poly for Club Level Wilderness Lodge for New Years Eve..
I just keep checking daily.. Someone will dump their reservation closer to the 45 day mark of payment due.

Adding to this, check in the early AM and late PM. I've seen resorts become available only for a few hours during the day (Poly became available around 7 AM but was gone when I checked again at 8 PM).

I think it's a combination of a an insanely popular resort + a refurbishment that looks amazing. I really think we need to take what used to be typical and throw it out the window for the next year or two.

Plus Poly ultimately has a rather small number of regular (non-suite) hotel rooms - around 479’ish total, 102 of which are normally classified as CL. Gosh only knows how they are handling CL room inventory with Poly CL still closed, but presumably they intend to open it at some point and so may be holding back inventory out in the future.

But yeah, really popular room renovations, an always popular resort, small overall number of rooms, maybe some CR converts who don’t like the room renovations there….Poly is a tougher ticket.

Although always keep checking, people are changing plans/postponing/rebooking things all the time, perhaps now more than ever.

Thanks for the tips, everyone!! I’m still unsure of which resort we’ll stay at, but as I was looking at Poly, I was just surprised to see that it was unavailable. We were planning to stay at the Contemporary for a second time, but I’m not loving the room retheming.
