Just tried to get a campsite for December at the new AP code and the CM I spoke to checked both partial and full hookup sites and the code was not available for campsites.

:-(

Will the room only codes BAT or ZXQT that are supposed to be released tomorrow apply to FW Campsites ???

Don't know, I'll have to try that in the morning.

Yeah, I was thoroughly disgusted this morning. I was on hold for 45 minutes for them to tell me the system was down. I called back, waited another 50 minutes only to find out that the AP codes did not apply to FW. Why do they exclude FW from getting discounts. This same thing happened last year. Just because we are in RVs doesn't mean that we don't deserve discounts also. Let's hope we can get discounts tomorrow. I will definately be upset if they exclude us from those codes also. I've got a trip scheduled for October and December and so far no discounts for either. Thinking serioiusly about changing to Tropical Palms - you definately get a much better rate there.

Well, if they don't have any FW discounts tomorrow, I'm switching to Pop Century for December. As much as I love the Fort, and this is my only chance each year to stay there (hubby does NOT camp, and this is my solo trip), I'm not paying $40+ tax for a place to set up my tent, when I can get a room for $49+tax a night.

What are the codes coming out tomorrow? Are they connected to anything? Pin numbers and such?

There are rumors that general public codes will be out tommorrow. Check the resort board and/or Mousesavers for the latest news int he morning.

Can you book a campsite reservation on line? Is there a place to type in these codes? It would be so nice to be able to do this and not have to keep calling those very busy and yet nice Disney people.:earsgirl:

This morning I called and got a Ft. Wilderness Cabin for $140/night!!! That's an annual pass rate. Didn't give her a code. Just asked if there were any AP rates available. We are going Dec. 10-12.

I guess maybe it's different for campsites, where you're really camping, LOL!

These are codes that we find on the mouses*vers.com site. If you have AAA or an annual pass (AP), then you can go ahead and call disney to see if those discounts are available for the time you are going. I haven't had any luck yet getting my AAA rate for January. I am going to try and get that then IF they issue AP discounts for the time we are there, I will call back and get the new discount applied. You can call and modify your ressie to get a discount if one is not available when you make your ressie but it comes out later. I would suggest that you go ahead and get your ressie, then watch mouses*vers to see if they have any codes come out. That site is not an official disney site, but the site owner gets alot of heads up info and posts it for all to see.
So I guess you can book online; I don't, I always call so I do not know if they have a place for a discount code (so you may end up calling them anyway) I guess they don't mind getting the calls, I have called twice this week and plan to call again tomorrow until they show a AAA rate for FW.

I got a AAA discount on a Fort Wilderness campsite last weekend. I was quoted a price of $34.00 reg site and $40.00 preferred site.

I haven't been able to get even an AAA discount for our campsite reservation end of Oct.-Nov. I even ask if they could seperate the days. I was hoping I could get an AP discount. Maybe today??? We can always hope. Thank you dear Disney friends for all the good info you share.::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

No BAT discounts for Ft. Wilderness sites for December either :-(

I'm going to Pop Century this time.

I got a postcard 2 weeks ago and was able to use it for the first 4 nights of our stay (December 16-19), but not for the last 3 nights. The CM had to get someone at Guest Services to apply the discount - she couldn't do it. So I'm paying $33.45 partial hookup the first 4 nights (excellent!) and then it jumps to $76.93 for the same partial hookup for the last 3 nights - UGH! Of course, I'm grateful for any discount, but I just wish it was for the whole stay.
I called back yesterday about AP rates and got the same story as everyone else - nothing available for any campsite any day in December.

My BIL got the email postcard which we were able to use for our September trip cause he is coming with us, but no way on this earth will I take him with me in December just to get a discount !!:smooth:

Like I said, I love camping at the Fort, but I havn't stayed at POP yet, and my family doesn't seem to want to, so I'm going to use this chance to try it.

Carol

LOL - that's funny! You will love POP. I stayed there 2 weeks ago and it was great! I'd really rather stay there in December too, but since we have a family of 5, we'd have to get 2 rooms which would put it at around $110/night, so for us camping is still cheaper. We've never camped in the winter at FW so it'll be a new (and hopefully fun!) experience.
