Anyone know why the All Stars would already have no availability the first week of May? All of them show as fully booked for a party of 4 when I run a search on the website.

I would imagine cheerleading worlds and summit. I believe worlds is end of April and summit beginnig of may. The all star resorts will be filled with cheerleaders.

Definitely filled with cheerleaders during that time. I experienced the joy last week of April last year. NEVER AGAIN:crazy2::crazy2:

My old high school does their senior trip to WDW that week as well. I wonder if other schools do too?

Looking the week of May 8, so I thought the cheerleaders would be gone by then. That's why I was surprised. It's usually a rather low crowd time.

Well cheerleading summit is 5th-7th and I imagine a lot of the families stay since that is the last competition of the season. I would think it be earliest any would check out is the 8th. If my daughters team makes it to summit we will be staying through the 12th.

Yes, it's due to three major cheer competitions. Worlds is April 29-May 1, Summit is May 5-7 and the D2 Summit is also at WDW this year and is May 12-14.

Definitely worlds and summit. If you're not a cheerleader, you don't want to stay at any all star that week. Pretty cool if you are a cheerleader or a cheer mommy though :)

Okay I just knew about Worlds. Our second choice was Fort Wilderness and that should be clear.

My daughter is now doing sideline as well as competition cheer this year, and I have to say that a resort filled with the same peppy/cheering/tumbling girls all day every day would become maddening as just experiencing this in my house with one child already has me halfway there.

We came to watch Worlds last year but spent most of our time in the parks. The cheerleaders didn't really affect the crowds at all. They don't have a lot of free time while they are there. My daughters team got a bid to the Summit in May so we will be attending May 4-9. Varsity has bought out the all star resorts so there will be cheerleaders everywhere...joy. Lol

we will be there for the D2 Summit. It should not affect the parks too much during the weekend as they compete Saturday and Sunday. And they will be practicing on Friday.

My first stay at Sports I had Dance Team girls, EVERYWHERE, the day before I checked out Boys Basketball checked in.....very happy boys EVERYWHERE LOL
Yes,Mickey Mouse Field at Disney's All-Star Resort is referred to by teenaged boys as "The Most Magical Place On Earth"!lol:)
