No Alien Green at Home Depot

I went to Home Depot today to get a Alien Green Mickey head to bring with us for our trip in Octover, so we could display it proudly! Well...they had every other color Mickey there, but Alien Green! Must be a lot of Dis'ers here in Charlotte!! I'm going to have to keep checking back and I hope they have some on before I leave in October!

Many Diser's in your area are hitting the local Home Depot and grabbing all they can. Just keep checking from time to time and you will find the swatches re-stocked sooner than later. Happens here in MA as well.

and to TARA: The paint company BEHR has Disney paint colors at Home Depot. Along with that the HD stocks the paint dept with paint swatches from the Disney collection. They are really neat. The swtaches are in the shape of Mickey heads and they come in ALL COLORS. And the official color representing the DIS BOARDS is Alien Green. Next time you are at your Home Depot you WILL see them easily.

We're staying at All-Star Music, so I'm going to put mine in the window when we get there! It's just a way to show other Dis'ers that were out there and to find other Dis'ers! It's our own secret club! Shhhh!

Sonic Boom is the alternate color for Alien Green.
Also, I went to Walmart and picked up some lime green foam sheets and cut out Mickey Heads. Another Diser went to Michaels and purchased Lime green card stock and cut out her Mickey heads from that.

LGMHPC's are a something used to identify other Dis-ers in WDW or DLR. Some dis-ers get creative and remove the MH's from the backing and write their Disboard name and laminate them and attach to backpacks, strollers, etc.

Oh great! I picked up a few of the Sonic Boom! That's a great idea with the foam sheets! I think I will use that for our Disney Cruise design on our door!

I know you can purchase laminate paper at your local Wal-Mart or Target. I use to use it to cover my text books for school. It comes in a roll and is in the area where they sell posters, markers, etc.

You can buy self-laminating sheets at Wal-mart or Staples. You don't need a machine and can do this at home. Also, they are reasonably priced. I got 5 sheets for $2.97. They are 4x6 size.

But we did score some Sonic Boom Mickeys last night! Going to keep an eye out for the next Alien Green chips but if not, using the Sonic Boom. I think we will all know who the disers are - and the luckiest will have the Alien. I am glad to know that we may not be the only ones with Sonic Boom.

I finally got up my nerve to raid HD of LGMH. You have to understand - I don't break rules. Don't cut lines, would never think of using old refillable resort cups. I am just that kind of girl. so, I get up my nerve, break out into a cold sweat in the parking lot and go strolling in looking totally inconspicous. I go up to the display ready to grab a handful and run...
and there are 4! All that prep work and 4 LGMH. so who else out there goes to the HD in Wilton, NY?????

I actually purchased the Alien Green. I did DD's room in Tinkerbell and I used the green as an accent color under the Tink wall border with a dark lavendar as the wall color. I painted "Pixie dust" on the green with a sparkly yellow. It came out super-cute!
