So I've been trying to book our trip on the Disneyland website. I cannot find a flight from YVR Vancouver,I try like every month and come up with nothing. I send an email and ask if maybe they are going to add more flights? Got one back and it said well you know we only get so many flights and they sell out fast(6 months in advance???)and to check back in feb cause they MIGHT add more. So I'm not waiting that long and I continue to search, and I go through and search every day through the summer and NOTHING. So I send another email. This time it said that Alaska airlines hasn't released their flights and they haven't been told when that will happen and to keep checking. hmmm. that sounds wierd doesn't it? Shouldn't they have flights available for the summer by now? And Alaska is the ONLY airline on the DL site that flies out of Vancouver or Canada for that matter. Anyone else having this problem? :confused3

I'm from Vancouver, but I didn't choose to book a flight from Vancouver. We're driving to Seattle where its $200 something cheaper for a flight to L.A. But no... I didn't have any luck booking a airline through Vancouver from Disneyland.com even if I wanted too.

I fly Alaska airlines I have had my flights canceled without noticed changed without noticed and on the plane in a seat and they had canceled the flight. They told me that it was because they had no pilot. I would think that is a big thing to miss. Not sure anymore with Alaska Airlines

If you are in Vancouver, what about flying from Bellingham? That's what we are doing and it's so much cheaper than from YVR. We flew from Seattle last year and it's about US$209 right now on United. We spent a bit more (about $150 in total for 4 with the kids fly free deal with Alaska) to fly from Bellingham to Seattle (hour layover) then on to LAX. We figured we would spend that on gas and parking at SeaTac and this way we are just that much closer to home.

We've thought about flying out of Washington but we are from Van island so we got the ferry ride as well so it would be another 2 and a half hours once we get back to vancouver,so I'm not sure. It's nice to just drive to the ferry from the airport and just go to sleep and then wake up and we're home. I did look at the Alaska airlines website. Can you pay it off like the Disneyland site?

You might have better luck booking a Disneyland package through Alaska Airlines' website (I've found the Disneyland travel website hard to navigate, and it sounds like you're having trouble as well). We've booked a few packages through Alaska Air, and I think there's an option to pay a deposit, with the balance due in full 30-days before your trip. You should have more flexibility with your flights, too.

I bought my package at first from Alaska Airlines but then I went to the AAA website and bought the exact same package but saved $270 because of the hotel discount and the ground transportation was cheaper. So if you have AAA or the Canadian version run the numbers on there web site first.

If you call them to book it You can do payments. At least that is what I was told. We got about 1000 off when we booked. Tickets are alot to fly out of the airport near us since it is a small airport. So the kids fly free makes a big differance for us.

We booked ours via telephone and are flying out of Victoria (Vancouver and Sea-Tac are other options) into John Wayne and staying at DLH. Alaska has been very accomodating over the phone even re arranging our package when the kids fly for free campaign dropped.
Much prefer Alaskas packages over Air Canada's

Boy, I wish I could get my 2 youngest to fly, but we still make the 1300 mile drive.

Jack

I would rather drive but my man can't take the extra time off work.
