We have the Quick Service DP in Nov. My question is....what if at the last minute we decide that we want to eat at a sit down place...say Crystal Palace or WCC.....would that be possible w/o ADR's (yes, I would be paying out of pocket!)

Has anyone just walked up and put their name on the list to be seated w/o ADR's???

You can try, but if you are going during Free Dining, the odds are not good. If you want to try it the best thing is to go right when that restaurant opens for business.

We have eaten at the Crystal Palace many times, and during our wait to be seated I have never ever heard them tell a walk up they could take them. They are always turned away. So if you want to eat there your best bet would be right when they open up for breakast.

it really depends on what time of year you're going, how big your party size is, where you want to eat & what time of day you want to eat.

If you're 4 or less on party size, it's NOT anywhere close to a holiday or major school break time, and you're not wanting to eat at exactly the most popular meal time and you're not really picky about where you want to eat...well, then you have a shot at it. Try for late breakfast (after 10 AM) or early lunch (11 or 11:30 AM) or early dinner (between 4:00 and 5:30 PM) or later dinner (after 9 PM)

If your party size is over 4, or you're there the week of Thanksgiving your chances will not be good, unless you're willing to go to outlying resort restaurants like Olivia's at Old Key West, or Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. In-park restaurants will be totally booked holiday weeks.

Just a note...Crystal Palace starts serving breakfast before the park opens & you have to have a reservation to get into the park at that time so you can't try for a walk-up right when Crystal Palace opens...I've seen people turned away who wanted to try that.

That seems to be one of those things that just depends. I have seen posts by people who did just that, told the CM at the gate that they were going to try for a meal at the Crystal Palace, and they were let right in.
