just discovered that Tony's would be open again for a night I want ressies, however when called the CM told me they were not accepting any more ADR's for that night. We are looking at 3 weeks from now, do ADR's cancel much, is there any chance I might still get one and how often do I call back?

Yes - people do cancel. I'd keep trying, even once you're there. If you're staying onsite, stop by your concierge desk and have them look for openings as well.

We had good luck getting into Tony's at the last minute during our trip in October. We actually had an ADR at Ohanana one night, but we realized that if we went there we would miss Spectro and it was our last chance to see it. So we went to the outside podium at Tony's that afternoon to see about availability and the CM told us to come back at 4:45 (to the inside desk) and that they would be taking some walk-ins then. We did that and got seated just a little after 5. We did have to sit outside, though. We were told that's where they put the walk-ins. But we didn't mind. It was actually kind of nice. And our meal was delicious (NY strip)! We were pleasantly surprised!

I always cancel if I am not going to be able to keep an ADR......just in case someone is trying to get in. I think it is the right thing to do since dining has become rather difficult to get so in answer to your question, yes keep trying. People cancel trips, therefore their ADR's, all the time.
