We will be going to WDW the last week of Oct. 2006. We are on DDP, I did not make ADR's for 2 days, so that I could have a leisure day and not have worry about the time.
Are there any TS restaurants that we might be able to get into without ADR? :confused3
Also, I think I have read that I can ask at the WL for assistance is this true? :confused3

It is doubtful that you will be able to get into any table service without a reservation. If I were you, I would go ahead and make reservations now.

Enjoy.

Dh and I usually don't do AR's and we've never had problems. I've eaten at 50's Primetime, Mama Melrose, The Garden Grill, and The Trails End all without ressies. A lot of it depends on time. We don't go to these places at 5pm and expect to get a table immediately. We like to eat at off times. That said, I would hate to see you get your hopes up to eat somewhere without an ADR and find out it will be impossible...so - since you have the DP I would agree with the pp that you should make ressies to be on the safe side...you can always try to change them later on...

Maybe check out some resort restaurants if you aren't going to the parks those days...we are eating at Boatwrights at POR a day we aren't going to the parks and I did make an ADR for it.

I hope this helps!

I know at Epcot, the place in Morocco usually has seats.

Even if you don't make adrs months in advance like most of us do, you need to at least call three or so hours ahead of when you want to eat. Will you get to eat where you want exactly?, probably not, but your chances of getting into a sitdown restaurant are much better. Even if tables are empty when you walk up the hostess will pretty much always tell you they are full or they don't take walk-ups. I personally wouldn't risk it if I was on the DDP, having to pay out of pocket for CS instead of sit-down is not the end of the world to me, but if I had to pay for that sit-down even if I couldn't eat it would not put me in a very good mood.

I've had good luck walking in at most TS places in DTD. But, never in Epcot. I guess it depends on the time.

You might have better luck at a resort restaurant rather than a park restaurant. Also, try eating at an off peak time.

Even the places that were often walk ins very well may not be.
If at all possible, make ADRs. Or like others posted, be prepared to be patient and maybe not eat at prime times. Or you may be able to eat in the less popular and more out of the way places. But at least call that morning and try to book an ADR some place.
And hopefully you have a small group. It may be doable as long as you are not too picky.

You'll absolutely be able find a place. It may not be in the parks at prime dinner-times, but you'll definitely be able to find a place somewhere on property. Especially if you're flexible (don't have your heart set on certain places) and looking at resort hotels or even Downtown Disney.

We did this last year, made a couple ADRs and figured out the rest on the fly. We just stopped at the concierge/guest service counter in the lobby and they found and made our ADR for that day.

We just got back and it really depends on how picky you are if this works or not. We didn't make many ADRs and sometimes had a difficult time finding places with openings that we wanted to eat in.

Dinner is the absolutely most difficult meal in not just the parks but the resorts and even DTD as well.
