No A&E FP, can someone explain the rope drop stampede procedure?

LOL! I guess we will be trying to stand in the long line, and was wondering what the procedure is during rope drop to get to A&E as fast as possible.

On a side note: I am pretty disappointed in the FP+ system. It is making me re-evaluate planning future WDW vacations. We've always been park hoppers, and when trying to get morning FP's all we could get was afternoon times. I didn't like that you couldn't choose your times, you pretty much had to take what they gave you. The options B & C many times were for completely different attractions. I'm pretty disappointed in what I was able to get. :worried:

I don't have an answer to your original question-never been a part of the A and E stampede ;)

But did you try going in to modify your times for FP? It's not clear that it's an option when you're first setting them up-it took me a while to figure it out, but if you go back in to your account to change them, it's actually pretty easy. If you're doing your FP now, I'm assuming that you're not going during a super-busy time of year?? I bet that there are a lot of available FP times that you could switch to for the non-headliner rides.

Some people have suggested arriving at the MK early so you are at the front of the crowd and entering through the right side. The CMs will walk everyone up Main Street. You will likely have people who had an early reservation at TCP or CRT in front of you.

Last month we observed the wait times for A&E were longer at RD than they were later in the afternoon/early evening. I'm not sure if that was accurate, or if they just started off the day with certain numbers on the sign, but the lines in the morning looked longer than they did in the afternoon.

Have you tried to change times to get them to be closer to what you want? When I booked FP+ I wasn't happy with the A, B, and & C options, but I was able to go back in and adjust them.

We are going Sept 20-23. Today was my 60 mark. I haven't tried to change my FP's yet, I will try that. I got a little scared because when I clicked on change, it wanted me to pick three different attractions, so I quickly cancelled. I don't want to lose what I already have.

I have to agree with others, that the FP+ system is not user friendly at all. I can't believe a billion dollars was spent on this monstrosity. Sort of reminds me of the Obamacare website debacle. LOL!

You need to go into each FP separately and change them, not all 3 at once.

BINGO! I was able to change a few of my times around. Thanks for the help on that.
