Just wondered what people prefer for the morning before the flight. I have never done either before the flight so wondered what peoples opinions were.

Obviously F&B is cheaper for 4 people but didnt know if the lounge was worth paying £70 as opposed to paying around £40 for breakfast?

What do you guys think.

Thanks

The no 1 lounge is very good. Especially if you are not a great flyer and find that the chaos of the airport adds to the stress. My wife hates flying and my son is Autistic, so we need somewhere calm to wait.

I prefer F + B the night before.

What is the food like there Kevin?

i went to the no 1 lounge last year, it was nice, and if i drank beer or wine that'd have been even better as they were free, but anything i wanted to drink wasnt free!! (apart from soft drinks). the food selection was quite good (i went in the afternoon) but you can only choose one. i hear that in the morning they do bacon or sausage sandwiches.

the view over the runway is lovely, and its lovely and quiet too.
here's a link to a report i did on it last year:

I don't understand. We had all drink and food included. I had a bacon cob, sausage cob, toast and fruit. Over a couple of hours. Drink was comp also.

could someone post a link to the No. 1 lounge as I've not heard of it and would find it really useful as DH hates flying and the airport just winds him up

We really enjoyed the no1 lounge, excellent customer service, good god and really quiet. The v-room is down the corridor and seemed much more geared to families, while although there were a couple of kids at no1 lounge it seemed much adult focused.

We went to the frankie and bennys airside while waiting for our connecting flight on the way home, the breakfast was good but the service very slow. I would go with the lounge it's a great way to start a holiday!

Do you think the price is worth it though in comparison to just a breakfast?

I do if your there a couple of hours - newspapers, snacks (there were lovely cupcakes!) drinks, and most important quiet!

The lounge is very smart with big windows, and a mixture of sofas and tables for eating. We paid £17.50 per person and got a slight quido discount:thumbsup2
