i spent ages looking on the net for photos of this lounge, but because it was fairly new, i couldnt find any other than the promo photos (which are never too realistic are they!!)

i've finally got round to uploading the photos of the lounge i took last week, so here ya go! hope they might be of use to someone!

Oh looking good and thanks for the pictures :)

Thanks for that :goodvibes I've booked the No 1 lounge for oup coming trip and your photos have got me very excited - nicest airport lounge I have seen for a long time :goodvibes

i booked it through ww .no1lou nges.com/gatwick.php and its £17.50 per person.

the lounge itself is very nice. Its got a great view of the south runway, the menu is nice, there's 3 or 4 choices of starters, mains and desserts, but you're only allowed to choose one. Not one from each, just one.
house spirits are free, ie vodka rum whisky and gin but all other spirits you have to pay for. To be honest I may not have booked the lounge if I'd have known this as i was hoping to have a few Baileys while i was waiting. Wine and beer are free too.
spirits are £4, cocktails are £6 for house ones, £8 for the rest.
there's free wifi and lots of comfortable chairs. The upstairs was closed off while i was there probably because it was so quiet (i went in the evening).
all in all its a very nice lounge but I was a bit disappointed that you have to pay for spirits. probably not a problem when flying out to disney because not many people will want to drink in the morning, but i was flying out to spain at 8.40pm and i would have liked a glass of baileys :(

I have found it difficult to find any info/pics for Air France Executive Lounge at Manchester. We were not sure if we would use it or not but Taxi driver has been in touch today, wants to pick us up earlier than planned so will have lots of time to kill, about 3 hours. Might as well enjoy the lounge.
No 1 looks a nice relaxing place.

just thought it may help someone make a decision, i've got so much out of these boards in the last few years that when i can, i try and give something back! DH did question why i was taking photos of the AKL fridges/laundry/soap machine etc last year, but they have come in useful to people since we got back!! :rotfl2:

Thanks Karen, we have booked already and it's good to see pics. My wife is a nervous flyer and the relative calm of the lounge always works wonders.

thanks very much for those - we've been given access to this lounge for Oct when the Virgin Clubhouse is closed for refurb so its nice to finally see what we'll be getting.
