Oh, boy!

Weather forecast is for 3 to 5 inches of rain between tonight and tomorrow. The ground is already saturated, and the rivers and streams are full.

Bracing ourselves here. We were lucky last time to not lose power.

No way!!! Better not be 5 inches - that will flood the Passaic River in my area! Then getting places becomes an obstacle course. I can't believe we would have two different storms with 5 plus inches of rain sooo close!

Nope! I don't want any more, I am going to have to jump into one of my boats to get across the street!

I live by the bay and what isn't on the streets or part of the bay/creek that is overflowing the roads has made its way into my basement. My pump is hating me right now.

Ah.... I am going to just keep swimming..... lol ;)

We are getting it in Md last night and today...It is just wet and nasty. My carpet even feels wet, and damp.

All this rain after all the snow. It's just a mess.

NOT happy...have to go check the basement. dreading it....and the brook at the end of the street. Promised myself I will never live in a town again with the word RIVER or BROOK in it...lol

noo more flooding... and spring break starts today. Cant be stuck in the house with these kids.

We've packed up the RV. Emptied whatever we put back in the basement. Had DD bring up her prized possessions from her first floor bedroom.
We just put in a new hot water heater, new furnace, new air conditioner compressor and new electrical panel box. I still haven't even seen the Proof of Loss from the flood 2 weeks ago.
I can't take another one. :sad2: I swear when DH and I heared the forecast we just about cried. And if he does evacuate when I'm at work today I wouldn't be surprised to find the new hot water heater on my first floor. He's threatened to shut off the gas to the house, disconnect it and bring it upstairs. And to think I was worried about only buying one with a 6 year warranty. :sad2: Maybe I can ask for one with a 1 year.

I'm sick to my stomach.

I think we've had our fair share of rain for the year. And if it HAD to rain couldn't it have waited until AFTER this week, AFTER spring break!!!

well so far this storm has not been what they thought - we had a lot of rain last night but not all that much today - thank goodness. They are still saying a couple of inches possible overnight again - and more tomorow.

I've seen enough rain for a long time.

Friday my son brought over a new wet vac for me to get the last little puddles of water up from the basement floor. I had the doors open to air it out. That was the 4th time I've had to pump out the basement which has only flooded three time in the 38 years we've lived here.

Now I have ANOTHER two inches of water and probably more coming tomorrow. I am NOT a happy person.

I'm building an Ark as I type :guilty: ... NO MORE RAIN, pleeezzz :headache: ...

Thats exactly what i said today! i was going to build and ark, grab my little yorkie (he's a boy) and ask one of the neighbors if i could "borrow" one of her yorkie girls. At least when the flood was over, there would be lots of cute little yorkies running around! I'm on a lagoon and the water is already over the dock. The road is flooded here on the island. you couldnt drive south on 35 today everyone had to drive south on 35 north! the only time i see that is in the summer when people who don't live here dont realize theres a 35 north and a 35 south!

Can't say the rain makes me happy but I haven't seen any flooding yet

We were very lucky last time, but friends had flooded basements; mother had her porch floor soaked. We're supposed to help her throw away her rug tomorrow - gotta wonder how soaked/moldy it's going to smell... :(

Good luck to everyone this time around - I really hope most of this blows out to the ocean and passes us by.

We here in Iowa are all too familiar with spring flooding.

Best wishes in staying dry to all my Jersey friends!

just waiting for the basement to start getting wet.....we don't have a sump pump. last time I spend 48 hours sucking water out of the french drain so we didn't flood!!!
