I wouldn’t wait. I don’t think we’ll see substantial discounts on the Switch this holiday. They’ll be having a hard enough time meeting demand as is.
The price for the Mario bundle is $380, and it comes with the Switch ($300), Mario Odyssey ($60), and a case ($20) – so there’s no savings over buying everything individually, but you do get everything in one nice gift package with special red controllers. If you think your daughter would prefer the grey or neon controllers or a different case, however, it wouldn’t cost you any more to buy everything separately.
The bundle (and the Mario game) comes out Friday. If you’re worried about sell-outs, certain
Best Buy stores are doing an early opening (or staying open late) for Mario; this is either at midnight on Friday or Thursday evening, depending on your time zone. So that would give you the opportunity to try to get one Thursday night but then have the option to go to a Target or whatever on Friday morning if you were unsuccessful at Best Buy. I don’t know how “in demand” the bundle will be or if people will be lining up for it or whatever, but I’ve learned to never bet against Nintendo.
