Hi everyone.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to pick one of these up in Orlando. I've seen them on sale at $169 in Walmart, has anyone seen a better price anywhere else?

Thanks in advance for your replies.:thumbsup2

Hi, Walmart/target are usually as cheap as anywhere. A word of warning I understand UK games do not play on a US DSI and vice versa.

Thanks for the response, DS/DSi games are universal. It's only Wii, PS, X-Box etc. which asre country dependant.

Hmm, I dont think so, the DS is certainly region free, and the DSI will play any region DS games. However from the mymemory website (and others):

"Despite software on the previous DS console being region-free, Nintendo told website Eurogamer that it decided to tie the DSi’s software to specific geographical regions because the console “embeds net communication functionality within itself” and Nintendo intends to “provide net services specifically tailored for each region”.

As a result, if a European gamer buys a DSi in the UK, they’ll only be able to play software bought within Europe. The same will be true for North America and Japan."

I would certainly make sure before buying!

:worship::worship::worship:Just realised that the old 'DS' rules don't apply to the DSi. Thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2

No, the old cards do not but I hear that the new R4i and Acekard 2i do.:rolleyes1

You are welcome, I would hate to see people buy one over there and not be able to use over here.

in my oppinion the Dsi is a waste of money. a Ds with some Wifi compatability and a sub standard camera. I'd stick with a regular DS, esp as it is multi region and plays all countries games.

:confused3I know, I know.....I've tried to tell my son all of this, he already has a DS, but you know what 10 year olds with money in their pockets are like!

hehe true, they are almost as bad as 25 year olds with money in their pocket lol

Just thought I'd post what happened.....he ended up going to Game yesterday and exchanged his old DS Lite and 4 games he doesn't play on anymore and ended up paying £25.

Good deal for anyone that's interested, probably better than anything in the US and also guaranteed to work here too. Basically, they are offering £75 for the DS lite plus £12.50 for any game....good deal, but they told us that it won't last for long....:thumbsup2
