Santa is going to get her a Nintendo DS game. Not sure what would be the best games for her.

She does like learning games as well, but she has never had a DS, so I have no idea what is good and what isn't.

Can anyone offer suggestions?

My DD8 loves Nintendogs! They have to take care of their dogs-feed them, bathe them, and teach them tricks. That is pretty much the only game she plays on her DS.

My dd 7 loves cooking mama and asked for one of littliest pet shop game(there are 3 different ones) for christmas.

My kids love Mario Party. You can play up to 4 DS's on the one cartridge using the Wifi.

My DD7 is getting a DS for Christmas...I also need good game ideas.
She's still a beginner reader - so something with little reading would be good. Her brother (12) has had a DS for some time now, but most of his games are too hard for her.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think we will ask Santa :santa: to get her the Mario game and my Mom wants to get her the Nintendogs.

With each game costing around $30, I want to pick wisely!

My DD8 likes the HS Musical game. How about Big Brain Academy..that's one that's a lot of fun on the Wii and I know they have that for DS as well. I also know they have "Bolt" out as well, so if she has seen the movie she might like that too.

This is what we're getting for DD 6 1/2. She asked for cooking mama and the Littlest Pet Shop Garden games. She was interested in the Lab Nintendogs, but thought it was too close to Webkinz and the Leapster Pets game, so she decided against something like that. I want to get her a Mario one too, but she may have to wait until Easter or her Birthday in May.

Pet Vet and Hamsterz are big hits here. So is the Nintendogz. Anything where she can choose and train a cute little pet.

The new game DD wanted was Petz Wildlife Vet. She is big into animals though.

Animal Crossing really helped my boys improve their reading skills.

Another vote for Animal Crossing! It's a great game, and it does require lots of reading. Everything in the game happens in "real time", so the weather and night/day changes based on your DS clock.

My DS7 likes Animal Crossing. The Petz (DS7 has Petz Catz2) games are also good.
