Nintendo DS charger

We seem to have lost a DS charger, but I am only seeing the generic replacements. Do these work okay? Where can you buy original Nintendo chargers? Any advice?

I bought the dreamGear adapter from Meijer.com and it works fine. I can also recharge it from my computer with this adapter. Here's a link to what it looks like.

Can try craig's list if you want a cheap replacement, as well as Gamestop sells them used.

We have a DS and DSi as well as MP3 players and phones they charge via USB ports so we picked this up because it can charge everything and we don't need to travel with a bunch of charging bricks. For charging power sources it can use a USB port (ie from our computer or laptop), a wall outlet, and even has a lighter adapter for charging in the car.

We have no complaints, it's worked great for us. The only downside is your supposed to only charge 1 thing at a time and it's really tempting to attempt to do multiple items because they can all be plugged in at once.

You should try your Walmart store. We just picked up a genuine Nintendo car charger for only a couple bucks more than the no-name brands on eBay.

I bought one on ebay for DDs DS (not lite, the old DS) it was $2.95 and it works great. I wish I knew that sooner since she didn't use it for about a year while we were searching for it! I'm trying to get into the habit of labeling the chargers as they come into the house now that we have so many of them.

I got a replacement for DD at Game Stop. It's their store brand, which they guarantee, and she likes it better than the original.

Also, will some chargers charge a DS but not a DSI? He has a DS now but wants a DSI for his birthday.

Try the iGo -- their chargers use replaceable "tips", meaning you can always use it for something.

Last year I bought a used one at Game Stop for $2.95. It still works great!

the original DS has a different plug than the DSlite. I believe the DSlite shares the same plus as DSI.
