Nine dragons

We really enjoy Nine Dragons. It is not your typical take out Chinese. We asked for crunchy noodles like you usually get at Chinese restaurants by us and they kindly told us they don't really have those in China and that it was an American thing. LOL. The meals are big so if you're with a group you can share. The food is really tasty and the pricing isn't bad. I would suggest you give it a try.

As for Alfredo's. I personally have a hard time finding something to eat there. First, I really don't love pasta and that is the majority of their menu. The lasagna has meat in it and I don't like that. The fettucini alfredo has loads of mozzarella cheese on top of the already creamy sauce which is quite an overwhelming flavor. But everyone I have gone with has loved it. So maybe it's just me.

:goodvibes

I'd skip Nine Dragon's. You can get better Chinese food at home.

Alfredo's is good, and the Italian Waiter's are wonderful! :lovestruc

9 Dragons - We just went last month and the family enjoyed it. We were on the dining plan so we each ordered an appetizer - 3 pot stickers (dumplings) and 1 shrimp cocktail. DD7 really liked the dumplings and ate most of them.

The entrees were all good and plentiful.

I will say that it was good, however, it is no better than any upscale Chinese restaurant in a large metropolitan area for food. The decor was over-the-top, but my kids got a kick out of looking at everything.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I wanted Chinese.

We have dined at both and both were good. Nine Dragons was yummy, and good service, but truly wasn't any different than a chinese place back home. Unless we're desperate for a place to dine, we've "been there, done that" and likely won't eat there again.

Alfredo's is unique from your regular italian restaurant at home because of their amazing fettuchini alfredo - they created the dish (the original alfredos in italy). It's fantastic and was worth the trip; you won't find anything like that at a local italian restaurant, usually, because they all use that cream based alfredo sauce. Other than the fettuchini, we found all the other dishes tasting the same as the dishes back home.

Not sure if that helps much...? Good meals at both; we'd return to Alfredos again for the fettuchini alfredo but wouldn't bother with Nine Dragons unless desperate for something to eat =)

We've eaten at Nine Dragons for the last two trips and currently have ressies for this summer. I really enjoy the chinese food there. I don't eat chinese at home to often, but I would rank it slightly better than the ones I have eaten at.

Give it a try.

If your idea of Chinese food is Sweet and Sour Pork, Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, Noodles and Fortune Cookies all of which are really American food then you'd be better off eating Chinese Fast Food in your home area but if you like Chinese food that is a little more authentic and not "Fast Food" type Chinese food then Nine Dragons is Highly Reccomended.

Alfredo's is no better than your local Italian place and alot pricier so I would say skip that one.

Hate to be contrary, but we tried Nine Dragons a week or so ago based on some of the good reviews we saw here. Just posted a review of this. Worst dining experience we ever had at Disney. (Most have been very good). Food was pasty and bland. Small portions were fine because the food was a disaster anyway. Service? What service? I hope we just had a bad night, but fair warning.

We have eaten at Alfredos once and wasnt impressed. The food was so-so and the service wast much better. The place had hardly nobody in it so it wasnt like our waiter was swamped.

Nine Dragons on the other hand has been very good. But we have pretty much limited everything on the menu down to the Honey Sesame Chicken. That is one good dish :thumbsup2
