We should bump these threads in August when we are complaining about the heat..

I don't complain about the heat....I love it! Pretty much everyone else does though.

I love the heat too. I might complain about it, but just a little. It doesn't flat out hurt the way cold does. It just gets uncomfortable.

As for our heater, it was just a temporary patch. We're going to have to get a repairman after all.

Right now, the reading at my little airport 5 miles away says it's -22 with a windchill of -27.

I am so glad we have a warm front moving in! This morning it is -27. Yesterday it was -56WC. All schools in MN were either late or closed due to the cold. But, I keep thinking of Florida! 96 days and counting!

Yesturday we were not closed and did not have a late in!!! It was crazy my kids were both sick .. Today it is -27 and they have a late in.. Thank god

Well folks, sorry to gloat, but we are having a heat wave over here. 8 degress with an expected high of 16 (although with
the windchill it will be -8)!!!!


I go outside and I actually get mad . I know it's totally unreasonable-but no matter.

I have so many layers on I resemble the Michelin guy!! And that's just inside the house! No way am I heading outside for any length of time today. It's just unnatural out there. If I wanted this weather, I would move to Alaska, but Juneau was warmer than central Mass yesterday!!!

Our partners were complaining yesterday afternoon how cold it got where they are... 15 degrees CELSIUS. (They're in Southern India!)

I was smart yesterday and told my boss I was taking a vacation day today. Youngest DS is off school today, Monday & Tuesday for MLK Day and teacher's workshop & I have Monday off as well, so I really don't have to leave the house until I go back to work Tues morning.

On the bright side...my DDIL called last night and she has to run an errand this morning so she is bringing the grandkids over here and I will have them for a few hours! I've already got the ventless fireplace on so they can take the chill off when they get here!

Not all - St. Paul still had school. We never close!!

It's just cold. Not sure how cold - it was -23 this AM. I am planning on laying out on Monday in the 35!
