Nikon Lenses on Sale

I thought I'd share this in case you haven't already heard about it. Many Nikon lenses are on sale until Mar 2nd. I just bought a Nikon 85mm f/1.4mm lens.

I bought the 16-85 f/3.5-5.6 G-VR DX last month and it looks like I would have save about $80.00 if I had of waited. At these prices I probably would have gone with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II instead. Oh well waited til after the Superbowl to buy my our TV and saved $200, so I guess I am still up by $120.

Now, if I can just a.) convince my wife to let me pony up for a higher quality lens and b.) get my tax return before March 2.

I think that 18-200mm is calling my name...

Nikon seems to have put itself in a rough spot late last year, which is why it's discounting cameras and lenses. It won't last, so this is the best time to save money on expensive gear. That's why I couldn't pass up the 85mm lens, even if the timing wasn't really good for me.

Still, I want that lens and I can live through a tight month or so to save a couple hundred bucks.

As for your wife, I recommend the vow of silence.

Thanks for the post William. I am going to have to separate myself from some DX bodies and lenses before I can buy something else. Bummer!

I've done that before. Sold all my DX stuff to KEH.com when they came to my local camera store on a buying spree. Gave me fair price for my gear and I spent it on FX stuff.
