Nikon Coolpix S50

I was wondering if anybody owned this camera and would recommend. I currently have a 4mp Canon A520 and am not happy with the lag time between shots. I have read Nikon gets better reviews in that regard. I also like a big LCD Display screen and the slim design. Any insight about Nikon?

I bought my dh the S200 for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, and we decided to swap it for the S50, primarily for the optical vibration reduction (the S200 has "electronic" VR). We don't have the S50 yet (we should be able to pick it up tomorrow), but dh played with the floor model at the shop and found the shutter lag and recycle time (is that the correct term?) to be acceptable--i.e., better than his old Canon p&s, but obviously not on par with an slr.
