We are regular WDW visitors planning a DL trip in June. I am a little confused as to whether or not there will be any evening parades at all while we are there.

I know the Electrical Parade is moving to WDW so DCA will be without a parade.

But what about DL? Is there a nighttime parade there?

DL has not had a true night time parade (like Spectromagic) for many years. This is partly because it already has two major night time draws in Fantasmic and the fireworks. At Christmas it has the Fantasy parade which is a night time parade. In June there will be an evening parade that shows usually at 6:30PM so it is still light out. DCA has had the EP which showed at 8:45PM but as you noted it is going away.

The specific answer to your question depends on when you go in June. The first half is considered off-season and that means week days will have minimal entertainment. The last half is high season and entertainment is daily.

The best gauge for this June is past Junes. See "Historical DLR Park Hours, Entertainment and Refurbs" - www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2291124

As for weekday entertainment see "What You Should Know About Off-Season at DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18462889

Be aware of grad nights - "The Scoop on Grad Nights at DLR in May and June" - www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2298400

And be mindful of AP Blockouts which will have a huge, huge impact this June - "Understanding AP Blockouts and Impact on Crowds" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365983

Thanks Hydroguy,

We will be at DLR from June 22-26 but will not enter the parks until the 23rd, the first day of most AP blackouts. Plus it is the second half of June so we should be good on nightly entertainment. There is a grad night that Thursday night so I am looking at Wednesday and Friday night to fit in most of the nighttime entertainment, which judging by the lack of nighttime entertainment that should not be a problem. Basically it looks like nighttime entertainment will include Fantasmic, DL fireworks and WOC in DCA.

My question originated from a Samantha Brown Favorite special I saw last night from 2008. She listed a DL parade (something about seven dreams) and it was shown at night.

Is this Celebrate! A Street Party? Is this any different than the WDW version? I only ask because at WDW it's not really a parade more of a character encounter on floats.

Probably it was Parade of Dreams. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Disney's_Parade_of_Dreams

It was moved to WDW after that. Not sure if it is still there.

OK, that makes sense. It was at WDW last June when we were there but it was the afternoon parade. We didn't see it because it was always shown in the middle of the afternoon when we were napping. ;)

I'm honestly shocked there will be zero nighttime parades this summer. IMO shows like Fantasmic and WOC do not replace parades.
