Nighttime Extra Magic Hours

According to Disney website, MGM will have evening extra magic hours on 12/04...the day I fly in...quick trip...it says it could stay open up to three extra hours...how do you know how long it will stay open? If I arrive around 3:30 at Orlando Airport...use Magical express...can I be to MGM by 5? Suppose to close at 8...but if it would stay open an extra 3 hours may be worth my while to go...any thoughts?

They say "up to" it really means "will"... the up to is kind of a just in case deal... I have never seen a evening emh park not stay open 3 hours.

Last time I was at WDW (last December 26-Jan 4), the parks were open as late as 5 in the morning!

I have been to the parks many times, but never used the EMH benefit. We had planned on using it this time however and I had the same question. Many thanks for asking and answering!

Keep in mind that the park could be very crowded. I have found this to be true most times; especially with the extra magic hours in the evening.
