I've only just now looked at the park hours for my solo trip (ok ok I know after booking seems like a silly time but I swear these are the dates I need!) and I see that all the parks close pretty early on the nights I'll be there (last week in sept to oct 2 (running the wine dine 1/2 on the first so I've got that night covered :) ) but what can I do on those evenings to stave off the crippling depression of being on my own? I assume Downtown Disney... but what is fun to do? I love comedy, and meeting new people, and karaoke (though I doubt that's available!:rotfl:

Who but who can help a lonely traveler?

I usually hang around the Boardwalk area. Jellyrolls dueling piano bar is fun. They do have Karaoke at Kimonos lounge at the Swolphin ... drunken karaoke is always a favorite of mine, but it really depends on how fun the crowd is. I've heard the Atlantic City Dance Hall is more popular now. Dance clubs are not really my scene so I don't know how it is personally.

Over in DTD, Raglan Road and Paradiso 37 aren't too bad for places to hang at the bar. Oh how I miss the Adventurer's Club though :sad2:
